Like the successful introduction of Meillands new red rose Black Gold® Meiniffyck.

Rose Black Gold® Introduction

It happened on Friday, April 24th, 2020 at Aalsmeer Flower Auction. In the midst of COVID-19, Meilland’s breakthrough novelty Black Gold® Meiniffyck was successfully launched. Incredible that, on average, stems were sold at one of the highest prices at 70 euro cents each. Meilland rose Black Gold

Exclusively Grown by Akina

This rose is bred in the heart of Provence, France, and selected by Meilland's research team. After this, Black Gold® Meiniffyck has been cautiously evaluated for several years in Kenya. Now she is grown on an exclusive basis at Akina Farm in Njoro, Kenya at an altitude of 2.300 meters. Akina is one of the farms of the Fontana Group directed by CEO Girish Appana and farm manager Mr. Mahindra Patil. The Petals are Shiny Red with Dark Red, Almost Black, Outer Petals

Black Gold® Meiniffyck is a wonderful thornless rose. The petals are shiny red with dark red outer petals. The leaves are dark green. Meilland looks ahead to the future with this stunner. According to the Meilland specs, the vase life is 11-13 days, the stem length varies from 50-60 cms and the flower bud size is offered from 4.5 to 6.0 cms. Meilland rose Black Gold
