How the W.C.A.F.A. integrates natural couture elements into floral designs

The Judges' panel of the Western Cape Association of Flower Arrangers (W.C.A.F.A.) came together with yet another great exercise in creativity.

Nature Meets Couture Meets Floral Design

This time, the assignment was to produce floral designs inspired by dresses. Not just any dress, these dresses had in turn been inspired by interesting insect markings. Insects with distinctive markings that were beautifully adopted in the dresses' designs. Now the task for the W.C.A.F.A. judges to recreate these markings and match them with dress and insect. And what a resemblance in the designs! Take a look at the outstanding designs representing nature and couture.

Insect inspired floral couture - The Designs

The dresses are inspired by the insect markings. Following, the floral designs are inspired by them both.
