Peace Tree Farm grows quality plants in one acre of greenhouses on a historic 25-acre farm. The property, purchased by Lloyd and Candy Traven in 1983, was named ‘Peace Tree Farm’ inspired by the Native American word 'tohickon', which means peace tree. Nowadays, Peace Tree Farm has been featured in Greenhouse Grower Magazine, marking a huge milestone for the company.
A Brief Background About Peace Tree Farms
Lloyd and Candy purchased the Peace Tree Farm property in Bucks County, Pennsylvania in 1983. They have grown Peace Tree Farm from ‘the little greenhouses up on the hill’ to an established and respected operation among international horticulture. Lloyd is a technology guru and advocates for small growers, being among the first to successfully invest in sophisticated environmental control systems for their operation. He conducts seminars and makes presentations at growing industry conferences and conventions.
Lloyd and Candy’s son Alex has come on board as the future of the business. His focus is on advanced biocontrol methods, sustainability, and a millennial perspective as the driving force behind the operation.
