Astrantia's Heart of Real Blooms
What do florists and consumers like best about Astrantia? It's so beautiful to look at closely! Just try and see; there is more to this button-shaped flower than you can imagine. For instance, did you know that only the astrantia's heart consists of real blooms? It's a bunch of tiny flowers on thin stems. A kind of Biedermeier bouquet on a single stem. The wreath of 'petals' around the heart consists of bracts, also known as windings.
Star Flower
The name astrantia derives from the Latin word 'aster' which means 'star' and refers to these star-shaped petals around the flower's heart. Astrantias are grown in Zimbabwe, Ethiopia, and Kenya by Marginpar, and come in various shades of pink, red, and white. The Marginpar company has developed the flower into a charming all-rounder. Not only does its looks make it a popular flower in bouquets and floral arrangements, but also its strength makes it a sure choice for arrangements that have to be perfect for special events like weddings.

Three Do It Yourself Bridal Bouquets
Do try this at home. Or in your shop, of course. It's fun to work with astrantias. And combined with some other flowers by Marginpar you will be able to present a spectacularly surprising feminine bridal bouquet. Here are three DIY's presented by BLOOM's.
DIY #1
Bridal Bouquet with Astrantia Billion Star, Ceropegia Woodii, Eucalyptus Polyanthemos, and Gypsophila Xlence.
Preparation time: 25 min - Height: 35 cm - Diameter: 25 cm
Step 1 - Cut a ring out of cardboard, attach three pins to the inner edge, bring them together in the middle, and twist them together to form the stem. Wrap it with floral tape.
Step 2 - Hold the cardboard ring with double-sided transparent adhesive tape on both sides and stick the eucalyptus leaves on it.
Step 3 - Then tie the flowers through this round of leaves to form a dome-shaped bridal bouquet, fold over the tendrils and attach the decorative ribbon as a bow, and wrap the bouquet stem with ribbon for more comfort.

DIY #2
Bridal Bouquet with Astrantia Star of Flame, Clematis Amazing Miami, Panicum Heavy Metal, and Scabiosa Sweet Cherry Scoop
Preparation time: 20 min - Height: 44 cm - Diameter: 60 cm
Step 1 - Unwind the decorative wire and crumple several curves into a ring, weave in the grass here.
Step 2 - Attach three pins to the ring in three places, bring them together in the middle, and twist them together to form the stem. Wrap it with floral tape.
Step 3 - Then tie the flowers to the bridal bouquet through this ring and wrap the bouquet stem with the ribbon for more comfortable wearing.
