Flower Parade Route
On Saturday, April 20th, 2024, the floral procession will start from the seaside town of Noordwijk and rides through the different cities of Voorhout, Sassenheim, Lisse, Hillegom, Bennebroek, Heemstede to arrive in the city of Haarlem at night. The 42-kilometer (26-mile) long course is a marathon in itself. Several viewing areas have been set up along the route to provide extra entertainment and information about the corso floats. On Sunday the 23rd of April the Bloemencorso Flower Parade is parked until 16.00 hrs in the city center of Haarlem (at the Grote Markt and surrounding areas).
One of the best points to view the Dutch Flower Parade is on the Keukenhof Boulevard in Lisse. It’s located in front of the main entrance of the famous Keukenhof Tulip Gardens. You can easily combine the parade with Keukenhof. Keep in mind that it is always a busy day and try to come to Keukenhof as early as possible. If you want to combine Keukenhof with the Flower Parade, you should buy your Keukenhof tickets online. It can be a crowded day at the gardens and with your online ticket, you can skip the line at the ticket office.
You also can watch the parade from a grandstand seat. There are seven Grandstands available to watch the event. There are stands in Lisse, Hillegom, Voorhout, Noordwijk, Heemstede, and one in Sassenheim. The Grandstands cover a lot of extras such as parking close by, sanitary facilities, and excellent catering. A speaker will provide the stands with commentary as the parade passes.
