It happened that in university my main specialty was soil. The study of colors, texture, composition, the genesis of soils has become the subject of my scientific interest... And even after finding myself in the field of floristry, I stayed true to this interest.

The floral trend color of the year 2021, and the colors of the soils and sand I am so fond of come together. Scorched Earth as a name for the floral trend color of 2021, and the combination of golden-yellow and burnt yellow come close to the sand and soil I hold so dearly. For me, this trend color of the year 2021 is a gift I could only dream of! Another warm, sunny, incredibly inspiring shade of yellow. A gift from nature!
What We Create
Trends and tendencies are what we create ourselves. A few years ago I designed a golden yellow carousel at Wintermoments with Flowers in Bruges, Belgium. I loved the color yellow my whole life. I love joy and happiness. A bright color like this golden-yellow makes my heart sing.
