Aquilegia 'Black Barlow' is not completely black. This columbine blooms with double dark purple flowers in the period May-June. Aquilegia 'Black Barlow' grows to a height of about 60-80 cm. Aquilegia 'Black Barlow' combines well with perennials and is an asset to a pink or purple flowering perennial border. The location should be sunny to partial shade and the bottom should be rich and permeable to water.
