Natallia Sakalova is my name. I'm a Russian-born designer who lives and works in Belgium. I'm eager to learn every day. I'm learning English and I hope it all sounds ok:-). In this blog, I would like to show you my two-piece bridal heart design.
Teach and Travel
I love to teach and I want to travel more, so English is very important. In my shop, De fleurs à fleurs, floral arrangements, and special bouquets are often asked for. And of course Bridal Flowers.
Floristic Career
I started floristry in 2006 and by 2009 I had my own shop: "De fleurs à fleurs". I like to participate in competitions, I like demonstration work and I like doing special and big installations. I thrive on them.
At Fleuramour, one of the biggest floral events in the world, in the castle of Alden Biesen in Belgium, I once decorated the church. All white flowers. I've had many compliments for my design there. And at last year's IMP Essen show I demonstrated on the G-Fresh stand where I created bouquets for 3 solid days non-stop.

Bridal Flowers
I was delighted when the two women chose me as their florist to create their bridal flowers. Their ceremony decoration revolved around a heart, so the bouquets should also be heart-shaped. This was especially important for the photo ops (to create a whole two-piece heart).
Their request was also to have red and yellow as two main colors and embellished in lighter (beige) and darker (chocolate). I had a few sleepless nights in front of me for reflection. I designed two separate bouquets in a heart shape, and when you looked at them one beside the other, they formed one whole.
In the end, the brides congratulated me on their bouquets because the result exceeded their expectations, and I had the feeling of happiness because there was my seed in this union of freedom and love.
