I had the privilege of collaborating with Club L London, celebrated for its affordable luxury and contemporary style. I was invited back to collaborate once again for their latest summer bridal campaign. This time, they sought a modern vibe infused with a touch of wild, natural, rambling elegance. It was the perfect opportunity to introduce something new to my palette, the exceptional Rose Mont Royal by renowned breeder Jan Spek Rozen.
Bringing Timeless Charm Effortlessly Into Modern Settings
This exquisite hybrid tea rose, with its pure creamy petals and classic style, embodies timeless charm while effortlessly integrating into modern settings. As I delved into the world of Mont Royal rose, I was captivated by its delicate yet sturdy stems and the enchanting layers of petals that surpassed all expectations
The partnership with Holla Roses, one of the growers of the Rose Mont Royal, brought substantial depth to our project. Their unwavering dedication to Fairtrade practices and responsible cultivation strongly aligned with our core values of sustainability and community upliftment. Understanding that buying these roses directly supports initiatives such as providing clean water and housing for both their workers and their commitment to the local community is incredibly inspiring.
This collaboration transformed the Mont Royal rose into more than just a beautiful addition to our project; it became a symbol of conscious consumerism, where each purchase carries the power to create positive change in the lives of others, as Holla says, "give a rose..... get a smile."
A Rose Mont Royal Staircase
As the Mont Royal rose took center stage in our staircase installation at Old Session House, London, its blooms exuded grace, with each petal unfolding to reveal inner beauty, infusing the surroundings with ethereal charm.
Symbolizing new beginnings, everlasting love, romance, beauty, and courage, it nestled amidst a bed of sweeping Genista, delicate Gypsophila, and rambling Smilax, accentuated by Phalaenopsis orchids. This picturesque scene epitomised modern romance and timeless beauty, accentuating the romantic ambiance.
Remarkably, Mont Royal roses demonstrated exceptional resilience, maintaining their beauty even after being transported dry, conditioned, and transported dry again in preparation for our installation using 'FibreFloral Florettes'. Days after the event and returning to my studio in Cheshire, they remained vibrant, showcasing their longevity as a natural product, a testament to their enduring quality.
My Ultra-Modern Bridal Bouquet
This rose also lends itself beautifully to those seeking to create an ultra-modern bridal bouquet. I crafted a reflexed Mont Royal rose bridal bouquet for our campaign, and it surpassed all expectations. The bouquet held up remarkably well as it was passed around numerous hands throughout the day. It remained stunningly intact, even during the joyful tradition of being thrown. What more could a designer want for the couple's special day than a bouquet that radiates elegance and resilience?
