I am totally in love with nature and colors, I always use them consciously. Whenever I make a composition, the aim is not to simply put together some flowers but to create visual compositions that tell stories. This summer, I created a series of designs with flowers from Marginpar as a basis. Let me share these with you! In my blog, I will explain what I have made, and which flowers are in the composition, so you can get your dose of inspiration for your own cheerful designs.
Whenever I am asked to make a composition, I try to get inspiration from my clients. This way all my works are unique – just like my clients. The growers of Marginpar have given me several assignments over recent years already, for which I am truly grateful. Their flower varieties are not only special because they're niche flowers, their exceptional quality makes them easy and nice to work with as well. In this series, I have created a collection of luxurious designs for the interior and garden.
Design #1: The Bikini Girl
This first design, affectionately called 'The Bikini Girl', truly embodies the essence of late summer celebrations. It's a playful yet elegant piece of body jewelry, ideal for those sun-soaked bachelorette parties or any occasion where you want to add a floral twist to your poolside look. This garland brings the magic of floristry right to your skin with carefully selected flower heads like Clematis and Aster, attached with precision. The arrangement is secured using thin decorative wires and Oasis Floral adhesive, giving it a perfect balance between delicate and sturdy.
The key to the success of this floral design is in the technique and timing. It's crucial to soak the cut flowers in advance with FloraLife Quick Dip, ensuring they maintain their freshness throughout the day. After crafting, a light misting with FloraLife Finishing Touch helps keep the blooms looking vibrant, even as they rest against your skin. Design #2: The Bamboo Fan
Design #2, 'The Bamboo Fan', is a whimsical yet practical bouquet that blends beauty and function. Inspired by the elegance of summer, this bouquet doubles as a fan, perfect for those warm, sunny days when a little breeze is needed. I carefully crafted this piece by attaching Clematis, Astrantia, Aster, and Phalaenopsis blooms to the bamboo base. The use of Oasis Floral adhesive ensures that the flowers stay in place, while the varied textures of the blooms add a dynamic, visually interesting element to this unique bouquet.
You can see how the delicate combination of flowers and bamboo stands out. The bold purple dress of the model contrasts beautifully with the light and airy feel of the fan bouquet, creating a playful yet sophisticated balance. Each flower head, from the Clematis to the Phalaenopsis Orchid, brings a different shape and color to the mix, enhancing the bouquet’s overall texture. The bamboo base gives a natural, organic feel, while the wire structure from H & R The Wire Man keeps the design airy and functional.

This summer fan and floral garland are perfect to wear by the waterside. The floral garland, featuring Aster Teeny Tiny Pink and Clematis Amazing® Miami, is crafted with nearly invisible thread. The flowers are attached to the fan with thin wire, creating the illusion of them floating above the surface. By combining Clematis Amazing® Miami, Aster Double Date Pink, and Astrantia Star® of Africa with a soft orange Orchid, the design takes on an airy, tropical character. The perfect accessory for a summer wedding or waterside celebration.
