With rose Fiorella, I wanted to emphasize the fiery and naughty in a striking floral hat with organic shapes. Creating a mysterious image through the deep color and predominant influence of the rose. The Fiorella rose from Decofresh Roses is a passionate power of nature, so I created the natural image by processing the roses at different heights. In this way, the rose gets even more depth and strength. What I really want to enhance in the image is the contrast between the rose and the elegant detail that I have applied. Clematis tendrils just break the shape and add refinement to the work. Furthermore, the rose steals the show with its charm and its seductive and fiery character.
Sara van Hees
My name is Sara van Hees. I am a 20 years old student of the professional Flower, Greenery and Styling education at Yuverta College in 's-Hertogenbosch, Netherlands. My class was given the opportunity to work with a number of exclusive Decofresh roses. The goal, to create a flower arrangement in which the rose steals the show. After I heard what was the assignment, my senses were right away stimulated. I immediately felt the urge to come up with a theme and start a design.
Nature Is My Endless Source of Inspiration
In my work, I get inspired by nature. This is what I stand for and that is why the power of nature is also my theme. It's being outside, seeing how nature changes, and collecting beautiful materials. Nature is an endless source of inspiration for me. As a result, this project was also a challenge for me, in which I tried to pull myself out of my comfort zone. A process that is often difficult and in which you regularly encounter yourself. Roses are beautiful flowers, but I don't often use this flower in my work because of its sleek and elegant shape. I found new inspiration to look for the utmost in myself and to make a beautiful work of it.
A Passionate Power of Nature
The rose I had the opportunity to work with is called Fiorella. This rose has a fiery character, the colors are intense and deep. I would call it a passionate power of nature. The rose evokes passion and love in me, but the color of the rose also has something naughty. Red is a fiery color that can evoke different feelings in a person. The combination of the warm orange in the heart gives the rose an extra dimension. I wanted to emphasize the fiery and naughty in a striking floral hat with organic shapes. Creating a mysterious image through the deep color and predominant influence of the rose. I created the natural image by processing the roses at different heights. Next to Each Other and In Front of Each Other
When I first heard that I was assigned this red rose Fiorella, I thought: "What should that be". I am someone who likes to look in nature for materials that grow just a little differently or that just have that crazy panache. That made this project even more interesting. Searching for the inner beauty of this rose in my own way. How am I going to shape it? Do I want to use multiple materials in my work? How do I process the rose in such a way that it stands out? All these points went through my head until the moment of the breakthrough. This rose is strongest next to each other and in front of each other. That's exactly what I did. Now you look at the rose and you think: "What a strong and rich color this rose has!". The rose radiates from all sides that you should not doubt but should go for every opportunity.
The Hat Covers the Face
With the clematis, which has a full deep and dark color, I have added an accent that gives the whole thing tension. The hat I made has an oval shape and covers part of my face. With this, I want to reinforce the mysterious image. In the end, the rose steals the show in the scene, and my job is done. With this image, I want to let everyone know that you are strong and that you should seize every opportunity you get. This rose especially gives me strength and it brings out the passion I feel for flowers even more strongly in me.
