About A.P Bloem
The story all started in the area of Nieuwendammerdijk, situated in the beautiful Amsterdam Noord. Alexander, the company's owner, grew up here and was constantly inspired by the environment around him. As a small child he played in the forest behind his family home, spending most of his time building huts, creating his own garden and making floral necklaces for his Oma (Grandmother), in his secret hideaway amongst the trees. Alexander has been working with some of Amsterdam’s most prestigious floral names since 2002. A decade later he opened his own store, and works together with his own team of florists. The store is situated in the prestigious Spiegelquartier, home to the Rijks Museum, antique stores and art galleries - conveniently situated in the heart of the canals. A.P Bloem services The Netherlands, and also internationally, with their original and artisanal style. They create handmade and personalised pieces for special events, ranging from simple boutonnieres, through to luxurious pop-up 'forests', across locations such as hotels, museums, boats, gardens, chateaus and exhibition spaces. The Amsterdam florist won 'Best Floral Design' in Open Tuin Dagen (Open Garden Days), a yearly event held in the most beautiful gardens of Amsterdam. A.P Bloem’s signature style draws inspiration from the beauty of nature, wild fields and the Golden Age. Their style retains each flower's natural and unique characteristic, comprising of exclusive flowers, that fill any room with fresh and verdant splendour. A.P Bloem hope to re-define the ritual of giving and displaying the wonder of flowers.
