About Flores de Bosquez
PHILOSOPHY:
"their eagerness to be wild and perfect for a moment, before they are nothing, forever"- Mary Oliver.
Flowers often bear witness to the most important moments of our lives. Wedding flowers act as conduits for deep emotions. Flores de Bosquez seeks to create florals that are at once artful and purposeful. Every element is carefully considered to create florals that inspire a connection to nature and more importantly, each other. Marisa Bosquez-White juxtaposes the classic with the uncommon in a naturalistic style. She draws influence from art, fashion and history.
ABOUT:
Marisa Bosquez-White grew up in the very small town of Robstown, Texas. She spent a lot of time outdoors observing nature, trying to understand its magic. Marisa especially loved flowers. Her grandmother had a yard full of unruly overgrown rose bushes. They were at once lovely and treacherous, echoing the duality of life. Roses have always been her favorite flower.
Marisa’s only desire was to be an artist and she went on to study fashion design at The Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. She worked in the fashion industry for over a decade- it left her feeling disillusioned and Marisa decide to take a chance and explore her earliest love, flowers. After working for a series of floral studios, Marisa founded Flores de Bosquez in 2017.
Flores de Bosquez, based in South Pasadena, California, specializes in weddings, special events and styling. Marisa Bosquez-White is drawn to flowers for their beauty and transience. Her background in fashion, art and history inform her work. She thinks of each floral design as a living temporary sculpture.
