About Oh Flora Studio
Searching for a little adventure over a summer in Sydney from her hometown on the Far North Coast of NSW, Tanya decided to stay in the city to follow her dream of working in the world of flowers, weddings and design. (okay… she might have also met a guy… and they are now married!).
Encompassing a great love of travel, dreamy architecture, design and nature along with her high regard for professional service, Tanya has quickly built her career and brand into a well recognised, respected and in demand florist, designer & educator within a competitive industry.
Her designs often stem from her above passions along with her love for colour and an abundance of delicate textures. She loves using fruits, branches and other unexpected materials to keeps things interesting!
Tanya loves to get to know Oh Flora's couples and clients well; their likes, dislikes and of course their loves. She feels this information is crucial in the design process to create a special celebration unique to each of her couples or clients. Gathering this information, inspiration from their chosen venue (or helping find one that fits), and most importantly, the mood they want to portray and feel together with their loved ones is then transitioned into floral works and dreamy details through the utmost care and management of vendors, styling and timings. She strives for the design process to be an easy collaboration between Oh Flora and its clients, ending in a result of truly intentional details and the perfect atmosphere that represents them well.
Any form of salt water is her absolute happy place and when she’s ‘out of office’, you’ll likely find her sipping Margaritas by the beach with her husband and their beloved chocolate Labrador ‘Cooper’ or hoping on a plane to explore another culture (mostly for the food, of course!).
Tanya is very thankful and proud that a majority of Oh Flora’s wedding and event bookings come from word of mouth and extremely happy clients passing on their experience with friends and colleagues.
