Dopamine Flower Atelier is a project created in 2020 in Prague, which continues to evolve and gain new dimensions each year. We not only create floral arrangements but also complement them with thematic explanations. For instance, we develop seasonal collections on various themes, such as astronomical objects and phenomena, movies, cocktails, zodiac constellations, and the mini-collection “Dichotomy,” inspired by different personalities. Last Christmas, we had a Harry Potter-themed collection. So to work with Porta Nova Roses for our Christmas theme this year was very interesting, to say the least. Although Red Roses normally are not in my dictionary, they've totally blown me off my feet. Gorgeous!

Our first and ongoing collection is the Chemical Collection, which is dedicated to the chemical substances in our brains. It includes bouquets named Dopamine, Norepinephrine, Cortisol, Serotonin, Adrenaline, Melatonin, and Oxytocin. Each substance is represented by a specific color associated with the action of the neurotransmitter or hormone it symbolizes. The centerpiece of these arrangements is often a dyed tulip. We update this collection every year and accompany its presentation with engaging facts about the substances.

Our Team Wants to Learn More

We are based in Prague, but our team actively participates in floral events worldwide. For inspiration and self-education, we attended the European Floristry Championship in Katowice, our head florist took part in the competitions in Belgium and won it, then she went to plantations in Ecuador, and we participated as a team in the floral festival in Leverano (in May), and visited plantations and exhibitions in the Netherlands (in November).

What a Surprise to Work With These Exceptional Red Naomi Roses

As Christmas approaches, we wish everyone the time and energy to embrace the season. Like most florists, this is a time full of tasks, ideas, and a lot of hours of work for us. Our Christmas offerings cater to both B2C and B2B clients. We offer various decor items (wreaths, potted decorations, bouquets, and boxed arrangements), making style sets, comprehensive interior decorating services, custom tree decorations, corporate gifts, gift sets, and both group and individual workshops.

In our holiday arrangements, we incorporate not only evergreens and decorative elements but also flowers. Clients can enjoy the flowers within the arrangements, and when they wilt, they can simply remove it, leaving the composition intact. However, it can be tricky to use flowers that don’t last long in such designs. That’s why we choose long-lasting flowers and plants like protea, ilex, leucadendron, and durable rose varieties.

This year, thanks to Porta Nova and Thursd, we had the opportunity to experiment with the Red Naomi variety in the context of Christmas arrangements. I must admit, that I’m not usually a fan of red roses, but this variety won me over. Its dense, large blooms with velvety petals and beautiful fully-double structure are striking. Red Naomi roses pair perfectly with popular Christmas colors like green and gold, as well as with evergreens, contrasting white branches, or cotton.

The quality and longevity of this flower are impressive as well—its vase life at room temperature is at least eight days without the use of any special preservatives.

We are delighted to be part of the floral world and wish everyone a holiday season filled with dreams come true, good health, and a spark of creativity!

"I'm a mom of three boys named Dennis, Jarne, and Xander. I'm married to Dominic, and my flower studio Floregineel is my place to get creative now and then. My main focus is on Thursd.com and myThursd as their Floral Connector. I love to travel to floral events, connect, create opportunities, and win-wins. And in the process write about the events, promote them in advance, and cover them. I'm good at Socials, I'm a trendsetter, and always looking into the future.

Flowers make everything more beautiful, but also music. I love to sing and dance. In fact, I love life, I love the sun, I love my family and friends, I enjoy the big but also the little things."
