Lilies for Thanksgiving Arrangements
It's Raquel. I’m the owner, creative director, and lead floral designer here at R. Love Floral. We are a space for all things floral including luxury weddings, events, parties, floral classes, retreats, and more recently coaching and consulting.
When I became part of the lily promotion team, I was honored and so happy! I love lilies! And especially because there are so many varieties. The color I received is exquisite! It's amazing to create with these lilies for thanksgiving.
A Show-Stopping Thanksgiving
I’m obsessed with monochromatic floral arrangements this holiday season and I’m loving these burnt orange lilies paired with autumnal eucalyptus for a show-stopping Thanksgiving arrangement! Mix lilies with roses, sunflowers, or mums, and let them be the star of your holiday hosting.
Lilies are available all year long and come in gorgeous colors that make them perfect for fall decorating. Remember to buy lilies in the bud phase to enjoy their long-lasting beauty throughout the season. Get creative with lilies this Thanksgiving and remember to have fun when setting the table for the holidays!
My Love Affair With Flowers
My love affair with flowers began many years ago as I picked wildflowers on the playground for my teachers and spent my evenings reading Shakespeare in my mother’s garden. I took my first floral class in high school and always dreamed of owning a flower shop one day.
Always inspired by flowers I decided to study botany at the University of Texas, (#HookEmHorns) and focused on plant and evolutionary genetics. After college, I taught Montessori and elementary science for a few wonderful years until expanding my floral studio full-time in 2013.
Work/Life Balance
The last twelve years of flowers, weddings, and classes have been a huge blessing in my life but have flown by in a blink of an eye. This year I plan to slow down and soak in the simple joys of life. I plan only to design 10-12 beautiful, one-of-a-kind weddings so that I can focus on teaching, gardening, and my beautiful family. I am so blessed with a career that I love and a community that not only inspires me but keeps me creating, and keeps me dreaming.
I hope to see some of your beautiful faces at one of our upcoming floral classes this fall or better yet email me to set up your very own floral party!!
