Year after year, Dianthus Week establishes itself as a key annual event in the floral industry, and it is always a pleasure for me to attend and support this initiative which highlights the evolution and potential of Dianthus. This year's edition was no exception! If you want to know more of my experience visiting HilverdaFlorist's displays and seeing their varieties up front, I invite you to keep reading and join the fabulous day I had with their team.
Exploring HilverdaFlorist's Varieties During Dianthus Week in Colombia
I spent a very special morning exploring HilverdaFlorist's incredible showcase, where in conjunction with their team, they introduced their latest and most remarkable varieties, making them stand out with their core values of innovation and staying up to date with market trends.
Each flower in this collection is designed to surprise and inspire!
One of the day's highlights was discovering their extensive 'Breanthus' line, which featured red tones and variations thereof, that are currently at their peak. It was exciting to see how Hilverda remains aligned with market preferences, offering varieties that combine beauty with contemporary floral design trends.

Discovering New Varieties by Hilverda
Under the guidance of Alexander Cardona, Hilverda Colombia’s Commercial Director, I had the pleasure of discovering 'Green Charm', a new variety with an intense, eye-catching color that caught my attention at first sight. Additionally, with the help of Rosa, who manages their lovely and colorful display, I selected a few stems to create a composition that highlighted the potential of this variety alongside others within their assortment.
I was particularly fond of the Solomio and Star lines from the 'Sparzk' series, which have consistently drawn my attention. These flowers, brimming with character and charm, offer a delicate but lively accent, making them ideal for arrangements that create a balance between naturalness and sophistication. This comes to prove that they are continuing to create color selections that are in high demand, thereby reinforcing their status as a leader in the industry.

Why Dianthus Week Matters for the Future of Floristry
To top off this incredible visit, I had the opportunity to preview some of their upcoming genetic developments that will be coming next year. Although not directly a part of the Dianthus Week, I must mention Alstroemeria Green Crown, a fresh, dramatic, and highly textural variety that is sure to make an impact in the floral world.

Its unique structure and ability to elevate any composition makes it a variety that deserves recognition and further development within the floriculture industry.
For me personally, every edition of this annual event strengthens the significance of these gatherings for the floral industry. It is a space where creativity, research, and variety development take center stage, allowing us to discover what’s shaping the future of Dianthus.

Without a doubt, I continue to support this dedicated event, as each year brings us new surprises and reaffirms why Dianthus will always play an essential role as an endlessly inspiring flower.
