First, let me start with a small confession. I would like to share that I am an Alstroemeria addict. Therefore, I am so happy that today, I'm teaming up with the fabulous flowers from Tesselaar Alstroemeria to bring you not one, not two, but three Alstro-inspired designs that'll take your floral game from basic to totally boujee. Grab your stems, and let’s dive into some floral fun!

Comparison Time: Alstro Special Meets Alstro Lux

My alstro supplier Tesselaar Alstroemeria offers a wide variety of, guess what, Alstroemerias. Since there are so many different needs and purposes for these flowers, they have created four categories of different opening stages, of which I will meet two today: the high-quality presence of the Alstro Lux, and the pure exclusivity and openly blooming Alstro Special.

It all starts with the right preparation of the stems and the appreciation of the flowers.

Let's start with comparing these two categories by creating two bouquets—one featuring Alstro Special and another showcasing Alstro Lux.

First step, always, is to prep those stems properly! Your flowers will thank you later (trust me, it shows).

The Alstro Special is instantly impactful, flaunting flowers right from the get-go. It’s full, lush, and undeniably striking. On the other hand, our Alstro Lux bouquet is the quiet beauty—still in bud form yet already elegant, hinting at the potential of a gorgeous, long-lasting bloom. It’s the perfect bouquet to gift someone if you want them to enjoy the beauty unfolding over days or even weeks.

Speaking of longevity, after two weeks, both bouquets were still looking impressively fresh. If that's not flower magic, what is?

Crescent Moon Arrangement

Next up, something a bit more celestial—a crescent moon design! For this arrangement, we're again working with Tesselaar's stunning Alstro Lux. But before the Alstros enter the scene, we need to build the shape with greenery first. Using a variety of foliage helps create depth and texture, giving that crescent moon its signature curves and flow.

Now, let's make it shine! Introduce the Alstroemeria stems—they're the true stars here, naturally. To bring softness and a little airy touch, I've sprinkled in some Chasmanthium grass. This adds movement and texture, making the entire piece dance visually.

Ten days later? Still fresh, still fabulous, still full of color. That’s the magic of Alstro Lux—durability meets dreamy design.

Boujee Bouquet

Who doesn't love a little upgrade from basic? Think fancy packaging, upscale blooms, or floral designs that lean toward elegant excess. In other words: boujee!

Creating the Boujee Bouquet

That's exactly what we're doing here with the Alstro Lux bouquet. First up, creating a solid frame is crucial—it’s the skeleton of our design. Working in a spiral, gently layer the gorgeous Alstro Lux blooms. What I love most about these Alstros is how they add instant structure and dimension—plus, they beautifully open up over time, turning your bouquet into a floral masterpiece days after you’ve made it.

Once you've built your bouquet body, give those stems a snug tie to secure your creation. And voila! Instant elegance. Trust me; a little bit of thoughtful styling goes a long way, and these flowers practically style themselves.

Sit Back, Relax, and Let It Bloom!

Now, it's time to put down the clippers, sit back, and soak in the beauty. Whether you prefer immediate impact or gradual elegance, Alstroemeria has you covered. Watching these blooms transform from tight buds to their full glory is honestly one of the best parts of floral designing.

So go ahead, take these ideas and play around—boujee, basic, or somewhere beautifully in-between, Alstroemeria is your trusty partner in creativity. Thanks to Tesselaar Alstroemeria for providing the lush stems that brought these ideas to life. Now, flower friends, get blooming!
