Drumroll - Alexandra Farms Announcing the Winners of the 5th Annual Garden Rose Design Contest

To make a choice between so many fantastic entries has to be very difficult. But the judges did it and these are the winning photographs.

Alexandra Farms has great news! They are proud to announce the winners of our fifth annual Garden Rose Design Contest. Entries were accepted in two categories: Wedding Work and Everyday Design, and hundreds of entries were submitted by designers from around the world.

All designs were evaluated on three criteria: how garden roses were used, photo quality, and the overall design aesthetic and composition. Judging was conducted anonymously, independently, and confidentially. The public chose the Readers’ Choice Award winners through an anonymous online vote.

The Winners - The 'Wedding Work' Category

The 1st place in Wedding Work went to Katya Hutter from Amsterdam, Netherlands. She has used twelve varieties of David Austin Wedding Roses, and her design and photos were mind-blowing.

The 2nd place in this category is for Samantha Fitzgerald, Smithfield, VA, USA.

The Winners - The 'Everyday Design' Category

Garden Roses are not to miss in everyday designs. Alexandra Farms included this style of design in the competition.

The 1st place goes to Elizabeth Miller, Houston, TX, USA. Garden rose varieties Rose Princess Miyuki and Rose Juliet (Ausjameson) are shining in this gorgeous composition.

Prizes & Judges

In each category, the first-place winner will receive an all-expense-paid trip for two to Alexandra Farms. Second place and Readers’ Choice winners will receive 1,000 stems of garden roses; third place winners will receive 500 stems of garden roses.

Judges were Jose R. Azout (president of Alexandra Farms), David J.C. Austin (managing director of David Austin Roses), and Holly Heider Chapple (owner of Holly Chapple Flowers and Hope Flower Farm and the founder of Chapel Designers).
