GreenTech Amsterdam 2026 is setting a clear direction for next year’s edition with the theme 'PURE'. From Tuesday, June 9, to Thursday, June 11, the international horticulture technology trade show will return to RAI Amsterdam in the Netherlands, where more than 12,000 visitors and 560 exhibitors are expected.
For growers, breeders, tech suppliers, and other professionals across ornamental horticulture and controlled environment agriculture, the message is pretty direct. The industry is moving toward more transparent, more responsible, and more precise production systems. GreenTech's 2026 theme reflects that shift and puts the spotlight on consistency, trust, and the growing push toward chemical-free cultivation.
Here is why you should not miss out on the opportunity this June to catch up with the latest in green technology.
Why 'PURE' Is GreenTech Amsterdam's Theme for 2026
'PURE' is about clarity and purpose in crop production. It points to the work of skilled professionals operating in controlled growing environments while dealing with the real issues shaping horticulture right now. That includes climate-resilient and sustainable growing, automation, robotics, AI, and cybersecurity.

It also signals a broader conversation in horticulture. Production is no longer only about output. More and more, the sector is focusing on quality, transparency, crop value, and how technology can help growers make smarter choices with fewer inputs.
Over three days, visitors will be able to explore the exhibition floor, join knowledge sessions, and connect with professionals from across the international horticulture chain. The knowledge program will take place across several stages, including the Vision Stage, Data & Tech Stage, Crops/VF Stage, Medicinal Plants Stage, and Insight Stage.
That mix gives the event a broad scope. It covers technical developments, crop-focused discussions, and broader market and production questions, making it relevant for both established growers and businesses looking ahead.

Side Events That Add More Depth to the Week
GreenTech Innovation Awards 2026
The week opens on Tuesday, June 9, with the GreenTech Innovation Awards 2026. During the official opening, winners will be announced in the Innovation and Concept categories.
Power Day
On Wednesday morning, June 10, GreenTech will host Power Day under the theme 'Exploring the unknowns of plant growth'. Even experienced growers face uncertainty. This event examines how emerging technologies uncover new insights and open up new questions, shifting the long-term focus from yield alone to quality, flavor, bioactive compounds, and value-added innovation.
NL Pavilion
The NL Pavilion will serve as a central entry point for international visitors. It's where global challenges meet Dutch solutions. It connects international delegations with Dutch companies, showcases innovative start-ups, and provides insight into the integrated Dutch Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA) ecosystem. It is coordinated by AVAG in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Food Security and Nature, Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO), Municipality of Westland, Dutch Greenhouse Delta, World Horti Center, and GreenTech.
Two New Worlds on the Show Floor
New in 2026, GreenTech introduces two thematic worlds on the show floor. Designed to help visitors navigate the exhibition more easily, the world's aim is to encourage deeper engagement and support stronger partnerships, knowledge sessions, and after-talks.
Green World - 'The Future of What We Grow and How We Grow It'
Green World brings together innovative crops, alternative production methods, and the connection between horticulture and health. Topics include Specialty varieties such as cannabis, strawberries, and leafy greens, nutrient-rich crops, and chemical-free growing solutions. But also the Green hub, which is all about algae.
Tech World - 'Where Digital Innovation Transforms Horticulture'
In Tech World, practical applications of AI, robotics, sensors, and data-driven cultivation can be explored. The Robotics & AI Lab will showcase the latest robots, and visitors can join the after-talks to meet like-minded horticulture professionals.

Why This Matters for the Horticulture Industry
GreenTech Amsterdam continues to position itself as a global meeting place for horticultural technology professionals, especially those working in the earlier stages of the chain and on the production challenges growers face every day. With 'PURE' as its 2026 theme, the event is clearly leaning into a future where cleaner cultivation, better data, and sharper decisions all work together.
For the floriculture and broader horticulture sector, this edition is one to keep on the radar.
