“Why should I think about Valentine’s Day now? It’s still 3 weeks away ;)” – That’s what many people think, but not florists. As soon as Christmas ends and the New Year’s chill fades away, we immediately start planning for Valentine’s Day. Every year, it’s a period filled with work, stress, and creative ideas. Sleepless nights and little rest lie ahead. But, to be honest, we love the hustle. We’re thrilled to be part of love stories, stories brimming with emotions.
Our Goal Is to Spark Dopamine in the Love Stories
Every relationship is unique, and our philosophy is to use flowers and creativity to reflect the emotions and feelings of each individual. Our goal is to spark dopamine – in our customers, in the recipients, and in ourselves.
The concept of our shop is built on creativity and unconventional combinations, but classic designs always evoke warm feelings in us. To the best of my knowledge, the red rose became a symbol of love as early as the Tudor era in the 15th century and remains an enduring classic to this day. We often find ourselves wondering, “What does a particular flower, color, or bouquet make someone think of, what is an association with it?” It’s actually a fascinating mental game – it’s fun to reflect on it yourself and even more fun to hear someone else’s perspective. Sometimes the associations are so wildly different, so you think, “How on earth did they come up with that?!”
Which Associations Do You Have With Red Roses?
When our team was working with Red Naomi roses from Porta Nova, we asked ourselves the same question. And this time, many of our thoughts aligned. But we got curious: what associations do others have with red roses? So, we decided to ask our Instagram audience, our customers, and our friends. The responses were very diverse, but the most frequent ones were: love, passion, and luxury. There was also a separate category reflecting lighter emotions: romance, dancing, wooing, date. Another “more objective” category emerged with answers like: flower, fragrance, and red. Some responses were more unique, such as blood, Lamborghini (which could arguably fit into the “luxury” category), nostalgia for home, and songs about roses.
Interesting - They All Include Love...
Each person we asked shared three associations, and interestingly, nearly all of them included love. Red roses have truly captured hearts and secured a permanent place in people’s minds and memories. And we, as florists, are delighted to reinforce this with our compositions featuring this iconic flower. Among the many varieties, we often favor Red Naomi roses for their large blooms with numerous petals and soft, velvety texture. This variety is perfect for mixed bouquets where rich color is needed or mono bouquets where a clean, rounded shape is desired. Thanks to their excellent longevity, Red Naomi roses are also ideal for box arrangements.
Good Luck
Dear florists, growers, and admirers of beauty, we wish you luck, energy, and an abundance of creative ideas. Together, we are part of love stories, and we wish love for everyone – not only around us but also within us.
