In a world where flowers speak the language of love, loss, and celebration, Swedish florist duo Jimmy Englund and Joakim Anrell of 'Stilfloristerna i Linköping' have found a powerful new way to let their blooms speak even louder, for the planet.
As Porta Nova launches its Red Naomi Futura roses, the most sustainable roses on the European market, with the lowest carbon footprint, the challenge was simple yet meaningful: create floral arrangements that celebrate life while honoring the Earth. And who better to rise to the occasion than these two long-time floral creatives?
13 Years of Passion, Beauty, and Purpose
This year marks an impressive 13-year collaboration between Porta Nova and Stilfloristerna, a relationship rooted in shared values and a mutual love for top-quality Red Naomi roses. So when Jimmy and Joakim learned about Red Naomi Futura, they were more than intrigued; they were inspired.
The result? An exquisite series of arrangements that seamlessly merge emotion and eco-consciousness, including a breathtaking 3D heart-shaped farewell bouquet that touched everyone who saw it. It wasn’t just a goodbye, it was a declaration of love, not only for the departed but also for the future of our planet.
A Florist’s Responsibility to the Earth
For Stilfloristerna, sustainability is not a trend — it’s a core belief.
Jimmy:
“The environment and sustainability affect us all, every single day. As florists, we have a responsibility to create beauty without leaving a negative mark. That means reusing materials, minimizing waste, and most importantly, choosing flowers grown with care, for people and for the planet.”

And that’s exactly what Red Naomi Futura represents: next-generation floriculture, where premium quality and eco-consciousness go hand in hand.
Jimmy continues:
“What excites us most is working with flowers from the best growers, growers who are modern, transparent, and passionate about reducing their footprint. Growers like Porta Nova.”
Clients Who Care and Choose Consciously
It’s not just the florists who are embracing change. Customers, too, are waking up to the difference that sustainable flowers can make.
Joakim, Jimmy's partner, shares:
“Today, more than ever, our customers ask where the flowers come from, how they’re grown, and whether they’re responsibly sourced. That’s one of the reasons people come to us. They know we choose the best, and the best includes being better for the environment.”
When Stilfloristerna first opened in 2012, sustainability was hardly on the radar. Today, it’s part of nearly every conversation. And Porta Nova’s commitment to making sustainability not just possible, but beautiful, is a big part of that shift.
A Heart for the Planet - And for People
With Red Naomi Futura, saying farewell takes on new meaning. It’s a gesture of love, wrapped in layers of intentional design, emotional storytelling, and now, climate care. This floral heart isn’t just for one person. It’s for all of us, for our shared home, for future generations, and for a floral industry that believes sustainability and luxury can bloom side by side.

A Tilted Heart of Roses: Designing for a Loving, Sustainable Farewell
When the very first stems of Red Naomi Futura arrived at Stilfloristerna’s studio in Linköping, inspiration struck instantly. The team envisioned something that felt as timeless as love itself, but also modern, an arrangement that honors a changing tradition: the increasing number of urn funerals in Sweden.
“We wanted to create something both meaningful and memorable,” the team shared. “A floral design that fits this shift in how people say goodbye, a farewell full of beauty and love, but also one that reflects care for the planet.”
What emerged was a three-dimensional, tilted heart-shaped floral arrangement, custom-crafted for urn funerals. And with 85 extra-long Red Naomi Futura roses, it’s nothing short of breathtaking.
The heart was built on an open heart-shaped stick base, with each rose meticulously placed at varying lengths to create a lifted, sculptural effect, a heart that rises above the ground, tilting gently forward as if leaning into a final embrace. This clever use of structure made the shape visually striking from all angles, ensuring every side of the piece told the same loving story.
“It took time. Every rose had to be cut to the right length to maintain balance, tilt, and flow, especially the soft curves at the top. But the result is truly something special.”
A Modern Symbol of Love and Responsibility
In many cultures, the heart is the most universal expression of love, and its presence in a farewell ceremony adds an intimate and tender touch. But this one, created with Futura roses, also symbolizes a new kind of love: one that extends to the environment, to ethical growing practices, and to the future.
To elevate the impact, Stilfloristerna complemented the Red Naomi Futura roses with subtle floral accents: germini, carnations, peonies, and orchids — each one carefully chosen to support, not outshine, the roses' grandeur.
This arrangement does more than honor a person. It honors the values they lived by and the world they leave behind.
Jimmy and Joakim:
“Red Naomi Futura gave us the tools to design with heart — both literally and emotionally.”
