For the 11th time, I had the honor of chairing the jury at Arteflorando in Leverano. This remarkable competition continues to uplift floral artistry worldwide. In this reflection, I celebrate the talent, teamwork, and passion that made Arteflorando 2025 unforgettable — and the people who made it all possible.

It is with deep pride and sincere emotion that I step once again into the role of Jury Chairman for the 11th time at Arteflorando, the esteemed international floral design competition that was hosted in the enchanting town of Leverano, Puglia, from May 29th to June 2nd, 2025. Year after year, Arteflorando continues to be a luminous point of reference for contemporary floristry—a place where artistry, innovation, and cultural identity converge through the universal language of flowers. To preside over this jury is not merely a function; it is an enduring commitment to the integrity, evolution, and excellence of our profession.

Leverano Is Fantastic! That's What I Feel

Working alongside so many passionate florists/designers with different backgrounds and unique cultures is definitely a privilege for all of us! In these unforgettable days, Leverano becomes a global stage where designers from diverse nations reveal the soul of their work, where creativity is tested and celebrated, and where the next generation of floristry finds both challenge and inspiration. Eleven editions on, I am still humbled by the trust placed in me and remain profoundly committed to honoring the vision of Arteflorando: to elevate floral design as an art form and to celebrate those who dare to express something truly original through nature's most poetic medium.

Arteflorando's 2025 Shared Passion

This year’s competition once again bloomed with passion, mastery, and the spirit of unity that only flowers can evoke. Such a result to a complicated event can be achieved by the hard work and the absolute dedication of many talented and effective people. I would like to congratulate all those who contributed to this spectacular result, starting from the head of Arteflorando, Ivan Bergh, and the unbeatable Claudia, who guaranteed a complete and high-end event. I would like to mention Francesco Durante and Anna Maria Spedicato, who made the unachievable with a unique, majestic decoration of the city of Leverano! All staff as one body did their best with hard work by giving solutions to any problem (and there are always a lot) that appeared. Alessandro Leone was always present and took care of everything and all of us. The teams from so many countries created tremendous and original installations all in the streets of Leverano. Regine Motmans from Belgium, Simon Ogrizek from Slovenia/President of Florint Organization, Ahti Lyra from Estonia, and I, who composed the Jury of the Competition and ensured of sophisticated aspect and detailed analysis, transparent and fair results. Eleonora Gomuzzzi from Italy and Morgan Douglas Nuth from the UK are the amazing and beloved Technical Committee of the Competition.
