An exciting name for a rose… Wouldn’t you agree? Rose Cold Play! Like the name of one of the most famous music bands in the world! Let this one perform at your wedding.
I was very curious to get to know this new variety of roses grown by Kikwetu Flowers. I knew it was a white garden rose intended for a wedding’s floral decoration, but I had never had a chance to work with it until now. Therefore, I was looking forward to a delivery of these exceptional quality Kenyan roses to my door in Lithuania.
Rose Cold Play, Unrivaled Quality
From the Kenyan highlands of Timau, Mt.Kenya; Kikwetu Flowers carefully selected rose stems and packaged them in preparation for a long journey to Lithuania. I waited eagerly for their arrival. Having read previously about Kikwetu's unrivaled quality roses, I was excited about the opportunity to work with their roses for the first time.
After opening the box and taking out a bunch of wrapped roses, the first thing I noticed was the huge thorns that I felt amongst my fingers. I was amazed by how many roses there were and how strong and healthy they were. This led me to an impression, that this rose has a character! And it showed up, that this is an exceptional white garden rose with a strong stem and a beautiful structure of petals that you can see only when it’s fully opened.
My inspiration was revealed instantly and I was ready to get to work...
Wedding Floral Centerpiece With Rose Cold Play
I had two wedding floral designs ready to execute with Rose Cold Play. Together with my TV show team, we chose a beautiful place on the outskirts of the city of Kaunas called Monte Pacis to shoot the process. Many weddings take place there and this place is very special since it is the only hospitality center - restaurant, hotel, and venue in Europe located in a working monastery – Pazaislis Monastery.
The first design was a floral centerpiece for a table accommodating 6 people at one sitting. I used 3 circles of floral foam as a structure and I combined them with candle holders which together created a design that had an allusion to the infinity sign. A wedding is a culmination of two paths crossing in between until 2 souls connect their lives into one. With this wedding décor, I mirrored this idea using flowers while white Cold Play roses played the main role, accompanied by Nigella damascena, Lily grass, moss, and dyed birch.
Wedding Floral Wall
A wedding is not complete without a session to capture all the moments. Once again Rose Cold Play grabbed the spotlight with my second design, a wedding prop, and a picture wall. A stylish photo shoot wall was created using a wooden frame, the openwork of which was created from plastic corrugated technical hoses and water tubes. Cold Play roses were combined with white anthuriums and some Lily grass to repeat the rhythm of lines.
I hope these two wedding decoration ideas alongside a beautiful new variety of white roses can become an inspiration for wedding decoration of people in love, who will be willing on their wedding day not only to dance to the music of the most famous music band Coldplay, but also to enjoy the beauty and purity of a Rose Cold Play, which will irrevocably decorate their celebration.
Kikwetu Flowers strives to grow an exceptional quality of premium roses all year round, all for you!
