Wedding Vibes. Created in the Blumenwerkstätte in Salzburg, Austria. A florist school for beginners and career changers, to learn the basics of floral design. I held this special course for contemporary wedding design and it was organized by Monika Stepan.
My name is Lisa-Maria Thalmayr, as artist Lis Art
"My concept is pure and simple. Providing people with flowers and see all of the energies flowers can trigger. My strong point is Improvisation and Transforming. Creating something new out of something which no longer serves its original purpose. For me, flowers are thousands of different emotions and it’s up to us which side we want to show. I’m in the wonderful position that I'm able to express myself through this amazing craftwork, being an ambassador of nature. Wedding Vibes was a class I really enjoyed giving."
Wedding Design Is Always Based on Two Main Elements
First is the season: we want to involve the atmosphere of the surroundings. If you take spring for example it is all about blooming. Quince or Cherry-blossoms give the bouquets a lovely vibe. Pastel colors give you a feeling of the soft awakening of nature. The second thing we want to build on our concept is, of course, the marrying couple. How is the theme of the party, what style they like, what colors make them happy? I always love to create a mood board with my clients. We organize all the ideas and create the main color scheme which we use to decide about the flowers and decoration.
An Interesting Trend in Wedding Vibes
For this course, we worked out concepts based on a mix of dried and fresh materials. As this is an interesting trend to go with also the different textures in the bouquets and hairpieces seem natural and connected to the season.
