In the heart of Casa Sierra, a private evening brought together a select group of women who share a deep appreciation for luxury, design, and meaningful aesthetics. Hosted by Carla, CEO of Sierra Muebles Colombia and local representative of the renowned Italian brand Kartell, the event offered guests a sensory exploration of how flowers can reshape the atmosphere of interior spaces. Keep reading to know who else made part of this incredible event, where flowers were the stars of an interior design show.
Petals and Pieces - When Flowers and Furniture Come Together
The session was guided by Shallima Turizo, CEO of Lottas Floral Studio and certified floral designer with Alexandra Farms. Her demonstration and talk focused on the role of floral design not simply as ornamentation, but as an expressive, purposeful element of interior design—one that brings forward emotional connection and elevates the feel of a room.

Instead of considering flowers as mere afterthoughts, they were positioned as the main characters of the discussion in the presentation. Floral arrangements were considered instruments for storytelling, expressing emotions, and achieving spatial balance. Three floral palettes were launched, each featuring unique arrangement styles—Related, Grouped, and Spots—made specifically for interior design purposes, ranging from living areas to retail window displays. The works corresponded with the polished, ageless nature of both Kartell and Sierra Muebles, combining modern aesthetics with a floral nuance.

Three Signature Palette Designs by Shallima Using Exquisite Flowers From Alexandra Farms
Each arrangement featured roses from Alexandra Farms, paired with Kartell vases known for their sculptural lines and structure. The result was a series of floral designs—each with its own mood and visual identity:
1. Autumn Harvest – Displayed on a wooden console bar with tones of burnt orange, mustard, apricot, sandy pink, and soft burgundy colors gave this palette a warm, nostalgic energy. Ideal for cozy interiors with wood and other natural finishes, it spoke of emotional depth and subtlety.

2. Enchanted Garden – Arranged in a violet Okra vase, this design featured earthy tones of ochre, terracotta, greens, and soft browns, conveying a sense of authenticity and grounding. Best suited for biophilic interiors and raw, noble materials, this palette felt honest and connected to the natural world.

3. Mystical Sunset – Shown in a light blue Okra vase with tones of deep wine, golden yellow, bright orange, and deep green, this arrangement added energy and dimension to the space. It was perfect for modern interiors with confident, statement-driven design.

A Room Full of Roses and Very Good Interior Design Taste
What stood out in each composition was the dialogue between the roses' soft, organic form and the Kartell vessels' clean geometry. Together, they created a harmonious contrast—an interplay between nature and structure, spontaneity and precision. The balance achieved in these pairings offered a fresh perspective on how floral elements can exist as integral parts of interior design narratives.
The evening was more than a collaborative moment between four design-conscious brands, unified by a shared belief in thoughtful aesthetics. The experience highlighted how floral design, when done with intention, has the power to deepen our relationship with the spaces we live in.

Casa Sierra offered the perfect setting for this exchange—a place where design meets meaning, and where even a single rose can help reframe a room.
