The World Cup Floral Art in The Hague has reached its most exciting evening... 'The Theatre Evening'. 10 Finalists, with the highest scores, now all make a surprise design at the stage. Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, Poland, Hungary, Japan, Norway, Finland, Romania, and France. 45 minutes, surprise theme, surprise description, surprise requirement, size, technique, preparations.... And all materials were provided by the organizers. The song started to play: Bicycle from Queen! Yes, they were given a The Hague City Bike to decorate.
No Finals Without Hanneke Frankema and Her Show 'GROWTH'
On Saturday evening, August 30, just before the awards ceremony, the spectacular show “GROWTH” took place, directed by none other than European Champion Hanneke Frankema. It was a celebration of floristry. And Hanneke wants us to share one message!
This final evening is anything but a traditional floral demonstration. Instead, it was a standout production alongside event professionals, focusing on technique, imagination, eco-awareness, and floral design, education, competition, and most of all a head full of dreams!
Collaboration With Young Talent
Young floral talent took the spotlight! VBW, the association for the florist, places great importance on the future of floristry and previously worked with emerging florists on the campaign "The Florist Colors Your Life", showing how florists bring color and joy into everyday life.
These Young Floral Talents assisted Hanneke in preparing “Growth” and will step onto the stage themselves during the show. Meet the young talents who are experiencing the World Cup firsthand:
Bente van Meurs
Esther Weijenberg
Gerrit van Aalst
Iris Jansen
Marieke Bijpost
With their enthusiasm, creativity, and love for flowers, they aim not only to present stunning, sustainable creations but also to promote the floristry profession with passion and energy.
