Tomasz Max Kuczyński wins World Cup Floral Art 2025

Winning the World Cup of Floral Art is a moment most florists only dare to imagine. For Tomasz 'Max' Kuczyński, crowned 2025 World Champion in The Hague, Netherlands, that moment arrived not with fireworks but with quiet reflection, gratitude, and a deep sense of responsibility to the craft that shaped him.

In the final episode of A Path to Floral Mastery, from Decorum Plants & Flowers, they met Max not on a podium, but at his own school in Poland. It’s there – on familiar ground – that he looks back with Decorum on a journey defined as much by doubt as by determination.

The Weight of Expectation

Competing at the World Cup Floral Art means working under relentless pressure. Six demanding assignments, strict time limits, unexpected materials, and the watchful eyes of an international jury. For Max, the pressure was amplified by knowing thousands were watching, including students who had learned directly from him and believed in him.

Unlike many competitors, Max did not inherit a family business or grow up surrounded by flowers. His path was built through persistence, teaching, and constant self-examination. “Mastery,” he reflects, “doesn’t come from certainty. It comes from asking yourself, every time: What could be better?”

That mindset became crucial during the competition. As the World Cup unfolded – through technical challenges inspired by Dutch tulip vases, refined hand-tied bouquets, and finally the unforgettable bicycle assignment set to Queen’s Bicycle Race – Max focused not on perfection, but on clarity. One decision at a time.

A Global Stage, a Shared Passion

The 2025 World Cup Floral Art brought together 23 designers from different countries, including the United States, Japan, Korea, Mexico, Finland, and more. While rankings mattered, what stood out was the spirit of professionalism and mutual respect. Designers encouraged one another, exchanged insights, and demonstrated how floral art can unite cultures through a shared language of plants and creativity.
