IPM Essen brings all of us floral designers and floral industry people together. FDF World in Hall 5 impressed the public with floristry perfection. National and international master florists presented breathtaking floral art, trends, and inspiration.
The idea for this arrangement found its way to me very spontaneously at IPM Essen this year. I instantly knew that the white Bach lilies from grower Bredefleur would be the stars of the show, and my goal was to give them an appropriate stage. With their unique elegance, these lilies deserved a design that would highlight their natural beauty and grace.
A Stage for White Lilies
To allow the lilies to fully develop their external impact, I created a composition that is light and unfolding at the top. The lilies are carefully supported by white Chaenomeles speciosa Nivalis, a quiet and graceful companion blossom that harmonizes beautifully with the main flowers. This delicate combination ensures that both elements enhance each other rather than compete, resulting in a refined bouquet.

My Presentation of This Bouquet
To make this bouquet with Lily Bach stand out as it does here, I used a glass bowl with a kenzan. The Japanese kenzan or flower frog will provide you with a playful and sustainable way to arrange flowers, both fresh and dried. Place it in a bowl, and let your flowers take the stage.
Inspirational Ideas With Lilies and Blossoms
Looking to create your masterpiece with lilies? Here are a few ideas to inspire you:
- Minimalist Elegance – Let white lilies shine on their own in a tall, clear vase, embracing simplicity and purity.
- Soft Floral Harmony – Combine lilies with small, delicate blossoms like Chaenomeles speciosa Nivalis or Gypsophila Million Daisy for a subtle yet striking effect.
- Dramatic Contrast – Pair white lilies with deep green foliage or dark-colored flowers for a bold, sophisticated arrangement.
- Floating Beauty – Place lily heads in shallow water bowls for an elegant, modern centerpiece.
My creation with Lily Bach is a perfect example of how flowers can be more than just decorations—they can be an artistic expression. Let these ideas inspire you to experiment and bring your floral visions to life!
