The concept of a 'slow wedding' is spreading more and more around the world. It emphasizes being close to nature, thinking responsibly, slowing down, and experiencing more intimate moments more deeply.

This is my take on designs for this phenomenon of slow weddings.

Slow Wedding Designs

Following such a 'slow wedding' philosophy, me and my team of designers from Botanic Art created our latest styled shoot at a fabulous location, which was exciting for us in several ways. We think about how to decorate weddings together.

So, on the one hand, we wanted to show how we, being wedding service providers, are one of the enthusiastic followers of this trend. What moves us when we are given free rein to create, what creative and unique solutions come out of our hands?

In addition, we wanted to present a trendy decoration and wedding concept inspired by the 2025 wedding color scheme of burgundy-pink.

The Photoshoot

For the photoshoot, we chose a new location for weddings in the picturesque setting of the Balaton highlands, the 'Kapolcsi Sziklák by Hello Wood Resorts', in Hungary. They offer individually designed cabins that have won several international awards and offer premium services for the couple and their guests, so they can tune in to The Big Day by sipping champagne in a jacuzzi in the most comfortable accommodation close to nature.

The idea of the shoot came to life by wedding planner Eszter Benya, the founder of The Perfect Day Events, who is committed to making weddings unique and more personal and helping couples realize their Perfect Day.

The concept of the styled shoot photography was planned together with me representing my business Botanic Art. I was very open and enthusiastic about the idea. I think my creative suggestions helped the final result to be truly unique and groundbreaking.

Slow Flowers and Greens

The slow flowers and greens we used for the table designs and bouquet were a wonderful combination of regular and spray roses, dahlias, and Panicum Fountain. The accessories came from a very popular Hungarian garden, Virágos Pagony, while the candles came from Koch Kerzen manufactory in Austria.

After that, it was easy to ask Andrea Baranyi, the founder of Blooming Sentiments Picnic, who has worked with me and my furniture several times, and made the decoration even more beautiful with my (I believe) wonderful table settings.

The Contemporary Wedding Dress

When choosing the wedding dress, we were focused on one thing: to get a contemporary designer. To get clarity, sophistication, and fine sensibilities appearing in the dress. There was no question that we would choose a dress by Orsi Bakács’ Silk Bloom Collection who is now also opening a salon in Vienna, Austria. The groom's tuxedo was tailored by Stay Ahuya, which was masculine, and elegant and matched the wedding dress perfectly.

The custom-made pearl jewelry, earrings, and necklace, as well as the wedding rings, were created by jewelry artist Klára Abaffy for this occasion. The special wedding paper collection, which goes beyond traditional wedding graphics, is the work of Tünde Szentgyörgyi, which fits perfectly with the burgundy-pink style and the theme of the photoshoot.

Get Inspired by Slow Wedding Designs

In the end, slow weddings aren’t just about a laid-back pace—they’re about intention. By designing for these events, we’re connecting deeper to nature, to people, and to each couple’s unique story. For floral designers, this opens the door to more thoughtful creations that highlight subtle details, natural beauty, and personal touches. It's about crafting something that feels timeless and full of life, all while embracing sustainability and simplicity. Whether it’s through delicate blooms or bold combinations, the 'slow wedding' trend challenges us to slow down and truly let our work speak for itself.
