Iberflora, the International Trade Fair for Plants, Flowers, Landscaping, Garden Technology and DIY Gardening, is strengthening its commitment to landscape design as a strategic discipline by launching the 1st Landscape Designer Awards. Organized by Feria Valencia, the initiative aims to become a national benchmark for the design of temporary landscape exhibition spaces.
Landscape Designer Awards Competition
The competition will select the best proposal for the design and landscaping of the North Forum, one of the venue's most prominent areas during Iberflora. The initiative seeks to encourage creativity in temporary landscape design, promote sustainable solutions, and showcase the use of plant species adapted to the Mediterranean climate.
The winning proposal will receive a €3,000 prize (excluding VAT), together with a trophy and an official certificate. In addition, the winner will be awarded the contract to deliver the project, with a maximum budget of €15,000 (excluding VAT), covering technical development, production, installation, maintenance throughout the exhibition, and dismantling afterward. Overall, the competition represents a professional opportunity worth €18,000. The deadline for submissions is 29 July, 2026.

A Competition Open to Landscaping Talent
The Landscape Designer Awards are open to both emerging professionals and established landscape design practices and companies. Eligible applicants include undergraduate and postgraduate landscape architecture students, architects, interior and exterior designers, ornamental landscaping companies, landscape designers, and multidisciplinary teams.
The jury will assess entries based on their innovation and creativity, their ability to create a distinctive identity for the space, the integration of sustainability principles, the visual and sensory experience offered to visitors, and the technical feasibility of the proposal, ensuring it can be delivered within the established budget and timeframe.

Visibility for the Finalists
As part of the competition, the five finalist projects will be exhibited during Iberflora, giving thousands of industry professionals the opportunity to discover the shortlisted proposals through dedicated display panels and exhibition materials.
Applications must be submitted electronically via the Spanish Public Procurement Platform and should include a project report, visual documentation with renderings, layout plans, and an implementation schedule.
