When the Landscape Istanbul Fair (LIF) was launched in 2021, the organiser, Athena Fairs Inc., set out to deliver a high-quality trade event for the professional landscaping and horticulture community. Since its first edition in 2022, the Athena team has continued to focus on ensuring ‘quality’ is at the heart of everything they do, and this was reflected in the feedback from attendees at the latest edition, Landscape Istanbul Fair 2025 (LIF 2025).
The organization of the fair reflects on this year's edition, on the collaboration with World Urban Parks Symposium, and looks ahead to October 2026, inviting you to come to Türkiye to participate as an exhibitor or professional visitor.
The Success of Landscape Istanbul Fair 2025
Taking place from 8-11 October 2025 at the Istanbul Fair Centre, LIF 2025 was the 4th edition. It attracted 110 exhibitors occupying 6,226 square metres of display space, making it one of the most comprehensive showcases of landscaping products in the region.

As in previous years, indoor and outdoor ornamental plants and trees featured strongly, and this diverse display proved a major attraction for the 4,128 visitors representing 54 countries, an increase in the Fair’s international reach of 12.5% compared to 2024. Buyers from Europe, the Middle East, and the Asia Pacific accounted for 67.5% of the total international attendees.
Also proving popular amongst visitors were soft and hard landscaping materials, landscaping equipment, architectural services, park equipment and furniture, and innovations in planting systems, such as vertical gardens. With professional landscaping contractors and municipal parks and gardens departments well represented across the audience, the exhibitors reported making high-quality business contacts. They expressed confidence in future sales resulting from their participation at the fair.

Exhibiting alongside many of Türkiye’s top producers and exporters were some of Europe’s big hitters, including Piante Faro and Vanucci Piante, with the latter exhibiting in the country for the first time in ten years. Producing 3,000 varieties of ornamental plants and exporting to more than sixty countries, Vanucci Piante was a significant addition to this year’s exhibitor lineup. Piante Faro, who also exhibited last year, once again promoted their extensive production of over 5,000 plant varieties, including ornamentals, palms, citrus, and cacti.

LIF 2025 welcomed the support of leading industry organisations, including The Chamber of Landscape Architects (PMO) and The Ornamental Plants Growers Union (SÜSBİR). Giving their impressions of the Fair, Evrim Karaman, the Director of the Istanbul Branch of PMO, said:
“This comprehensive gathering provides valuable contributions to elevating the discipline of landscape architecture both in our country and worldwide.”
Echoing similar views, Miray Engin, the General Secretary of SÜSBİR, commented:
“Landscape Istanbul Fair has become one of the most important meeting points of the industry, offering a significant opportunity, especially for international participants and visitors to see the industry as a whole.”

Hosting the World Urban Parks Symposium
Repeating the successful cooperation of the previous two years, LIF 2025 hosted the 3rd World Urban Parks Symposium (WUP Symposium), which this year took as its theme 'NEXT: The next generation of cities and public Spaces'.
The event featured inspiring keynote sessions, panel discussions, interactive workshops, and invaluable networking opportunities, culminating in the WUP Awards, which celebrated excellence and innovation in urban parks and public spaces. With over 100 submissions from more than 30 countries, the program highlighted motivational examples of innovation, sustainability, and community impact across five regions of the world.
Amongst the lineup of international experts sharing their experiences and findings was Mark Bowater, the recently elected Chair of WUP, whose presentation considered how we plan for the public’s need for open spaces in growing cities and how we can ensure equitable access to quality urban parks – a highly topical theme picked up by other speakers.
Luis Romahn, CEO of WUP, made clear his views after the event:
“The World Urban Parks Symposium 2025 in Istanbul was a global success. It was an unforgettable week of learning, collaboration, and global exchange that will continue to inspire the future development of parks worldwide.”
With delegates attending from some 35 countries, the Symposium is now established as one of the most important gatherings for urban parks professionals worldwide.
