Show Gardens curl round Main Avenue and Royal Hospital Way. A stroll along this route will take you past some of the finest examples of garden design at the world’s most prestigious flower show. As well as inspiring plant combinations and cutting-edge landscaping, these Gardens serve as a barometer of current gardening trends and key issues facing horticulture.

Balcony and Container Gardens explore what is possible in a smaller space. Urban gardens can be so much more than a place to store a bike. Top designers take on the challenges that town and city gardeners face, from flood management, pollution, and noise to clever ways to make the most of the small space. These Gardens are practical as well as inspirational, with design principles that can be lifted and transplanted to nearly any garden space.

A Gallery of Floral Dreams to Walk Around

As soon as guests get there, the gates’ spectacular floristry displays welcome them to the Show. Known for their floral displays that challenge the limits of floral art, RHS Chelsea floral installations are acclaimed worldwide. While the RHS Letters are a classic backdrop for selfies, one cannot resist capturing all the creations that adorn the showground, their beauty matched by a fragrance almost as stunning.

The Great Pavilion hosts floristry competitions, featuring floral art of the highest standard. This year features two categories: Creative Spaces, which allows florists to express themselves freely without rules or themes. Though not judged, these works are eligible for the Floristry Ambassador’s Choice. Within the Floral Creations category, one can find smaller arrangements displayed on a plinth. Alongside RHS medals, these florists are competing for the prestigious title of RHS Chelsea Florist of the Year.

More moments at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show

The RHS Chelsea event attracts the finest growers and nurseries from across the globe to show their work in the most esteemed tent of horticulture. Here, you will encounter an incredible assembly of plant specialists, all enthusiastic to offer their insights and guidance on the plants they cultivate.

Since most of the showcased plants are not for sale until the 4 pm sell-off on Saturday, RHS Chelsea focuses primarily on the exhibits. Growers create fantastic, imaginative displays in hopes of winning an RHS Medal or a special RHS Award. Last year featured a bath brimming with ferns, vegetables arranged as portraits, and dinosaurs prowling among Sarracenia – who knows what surprises await us from growers in 2025?

Tickets for the famous Chelsea Flower Show are now available through the RHS's website.

Make the Most of Your Day at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show

You'll not only be able to watch a very entertaining floral show with some of Chelsea's most beautiful flowers, but also enjoy a wide range of activities to get the most out of this unforgettable experience, which only happens once a year in this city. Follow these tips to make the most out of your day!

Plan Your Day

The Show Guide is available to buy with your ticket and will be delivered before the Show, so you can familiarise yourself with what you want to see, where everything is, and plan a route and itinerary. This should ensure you allow yourself enough time to see everything.  Overseas visitors can collect the Guide at the Show.

RHS Chelsea is a hugely popular event and can get busy, so it’s worth considering going around the Gardens at quieter times, such as after 3 pm, if you want to avoid peak crowds. Saturday tends to be the busiest day, and if you are an RHS Member, Tuesday and Wednesday are reserved for Members.

What to Wear?

There’s no dress code at RHS Chelsea, but it’s a great opportunity to show off your summer wardrobe. However, keep in mind these tips from RHS Chelsea Show Manager Gemma Lake for a stylish but comfortable day.

  • Wear sturdy shoes. There can be a lot of walking around the Show and to or from public transport.

  • Prepare for the weather – both sunshine and rain. A light waterproof is easier to manage than an umbrella if it rains, and layers are easier to peel off and carry when the sun comes out.

Be Prepared

  • Before or after the Show, take a look around Chelsea in Bloom, which runs at the same time. The floral creations are quite remarkable and really add to the day.

  • Remember to book early – catering and show tickets sell fast, so plan ahead. RHS Members get the chance to buy tickets before everyone else, plus they get a discount.

Last but not least, have your camera or phone on hand and fully charged to take photos of the design inspiration you want to try in your garden. Don’t forget to take photos of plant labels to help identify all those beautiful plants when you get home. PS: Have fun!
