Miniature Clay Plants by Astrid Wilk - Making a Triumphant Entrance
What's better than having real-life green plants in your life? The miniature version of them, of course! Astrid, a German artist from the Ruhrgebiet area, has a driven passion for creating everything that has to do with plant design and leaves. Not only does she make every plant lover's dream come true in miniature pieces, but she's also created a collection of green contemporary plant earrings for her audience to enjoy.
A fascinating yet pleasing process to create tiny clay pieces

Her motto revolves around wanting everyone to feel nature close by, even more, if you do not have the opportunity to have plants in your day-to-day life. She aims to portray a miniature size of real-life plants such as Monstera Deliciosa, all the way to miniature watermelon peperomia, and Alocasia Zebrina.

Small-Scale Green Magic
The most admirable characteristic of Astrid Wilk's creations is her ability to hand-make them and turn them into never-before-seen pieces. The amount of detailed work in each piece makes her work valuable and differentiated in the clay market and further competitors. They feature eye-catching miniature lines, leaves, and a mix of colors to portray the plant as lively and real as possible. All of her clay plants are made from oven-baked polymer clay, and every leaf pattern is made using the caning technique.
July Mini Fun Miniatures
To make the interaction with her followers even more special and summer fun, Astrid Wilk decided to make her #julyminifun miniature clay plant pieces a trend, and it worked. Each day during July, she has managed to host, along with @vintagedollhouseshop, a different miniature clay plant for the day.
The colorful, majestic Bird of Paradise
The purpose of doing the #julyminifun trend was that Astrid noticed the Instagram algorithm no longer pushes photos, and rather, hashtags are becoming more and more irrelevant for reach. Her miniature clay plant content has become a trend under this hashtag. Nature Inspires Her to Make People Happy Through Planty Sculptures
Astrid has been a huge plant lover since she can remember, and her goal is to make people feel reconnected to nature through her work. All handmade and oriented to detail, each idea is made of different colored oven-bake polymer clay, making every leaf and every detail unrepeatable.

Owner of her own art studio, she began her artistic career at the Academy of Fine Arts in Münster. It was here she developed her artistic and quirky skills to master the art of clay. To this day, Astrid has exhibited her collections in several exhibitions in collaboration with Salon Dortmund, where she usually exhibits her art once a year.
