Some wedding designs are beautiful. Others tell a story long before the first guest takes a seat. For Romanian floral designer Ioana Nechifor from flower shop City Flowers, every composition begins with emotion. Flowers are never placed simply for their color or shape; they are chosen for what they can express. In this wedding table installation, that expression starts with one of the world’s most iconic roses: Red Naomi from Porta Nova.
Rich, velvety, and unmistakably romantic, Red Naomi became the foundation for a design that brings floristry and sound together in perfect harmony.
A Conversation Between Romance and Music
Red roses have always belonged to the language of love, making them a natural choice for weddings. But rather than following tradition, Ioana used them as the starting point for a bolder artistic concept.
Music has always been one of her greatest sources of inspiration, and this installation explores the connection between sound and emotion through flowers. Black metal tubular bells were incorporated into the suspended arrangement, creating a striking visual element while symbolizing the resonance of music. Black bamboo tubes, inspired by the traditional pan flute, introduced rhythm and movement, blending effortlessly with the contemporary metal framework.

Red Naomi in Perfect Balance
The luxurious blooms of Porta Nova’s Red Naomi roses add depth, texture, and elegance to the design. Their rich red petals create an unmistakable focal point, contrasting beautifully with the black structural elements.
The surrounding venue, with its timeless walls and exposed wooden beams, inspired an atmospheric color palette. Deep shades of red continue across the table through carefully placed candles in black holders, reinforcing the visual rhythm established by the suspended floral installation.
Rather than overwhelming the tablescape, the elevated design creates a dramatic centerpiece while preserving open sights, allowing guests to connect comfortably across the table. Minimal floral accents arranged in delicate glass bottles complete the setting, adding intimacy without distracting from the statement overhead.

Designing an Experience
The suspended arrangement draws the eye upward, while the refined styling below keeps the table welcoming and functional. It is a thoughtful balance between artistic impact and practical wedding design, demonstrating how floral installations can transform a space without compromising guest comfort.
For florists looking to push creative boundaries, this design is a reminder that inspiration can come from anywhere. In this case, sound provided the rhythm, while Red Naomi supplied the emotion.

Creativity Is Always a Team Effort
Although Ioana’s signature style is instantly recognizable, collaboration plays an important role in bringing her visions to life.
Ioana:
I regularly work alongside my talented colleague Bianca Petre, whose refined sense of style, creative ideas, and romantic touch contribute beautifully to many of their floral concepts. Behind the scenes, Ioana Notar, affectionately known as Ionica, captures the creative process through photography and video, preserving the moments that often remain unseen but are essential to every project.
Together, they demonstrate that exceptional floral design is not only about beautiful flowers, it is also about shared creativity, craftsmanship, and passion.
A Floral Interpretation of Music
With Porta Nova’s Red Naomi roses at its heart, this wedding table design perfectly illustrates how classic materials can be transformed into something unexpected.
It is a reminder that great floral design does more than fill a space. It creates atmosphere, evokes emotion, and leaves guests with a memory that lingers long after the celebration has ended.
