Iberflora 2024 Recap: How Nature Shaped This Year’s Event
Iberflora is a must-attend event for any ornamental plant producer, whether based in Spain or abroad. It stands as the largest gathering of professionals in the horticultural sector, offering standout opportunities to showcase innovations, exchange ideas, and expand business networks. By bringing together industry leaders, producers, and global visitors interested in this sector, the fair fosters growth and collaboration, solidifying its importance in the world of ornamental horticulture.
Raul Ferrer, Iberflora's President shared:
"We have successfully renewed the event and adapted it to new trends, making it more experiential and welcoming to all sectors that make up the plant and flower industry."
If you were not able to attend this year's edition, you must know the event fully encompassed everything from beautiful, huge, majestic, tropical green plants to cutting-edge landscaping and gardening technologies, making it Spain's flagship fair for the green sector. The exhibitors' blending of eco-friendly methods with eye-catching do-it-yourself garden solutions was one of the most notable aspects of the event, not to mention various types of 'shows', workshops, and demonstrations about topics such as AI to design floral spaces and gardens, urban green space development for the future, how to use plants to enhance both indoor and outdoor places, make your gardening aesthetic and soil impeccable for your plants to thrive among many other interesting perspectives.
On the first day, on Tuesday, October 1st, in Pavillion 6 the 'Floral Universe' of Iberflora also happened, leaving the public in awe for what was shown and created in terms of floral decoration by Roberto Silvosa and Ana Alcazar of Kihana Preserved Flowers, using the impeccable preserved products by Verdissimo.
Expert talks reflected the growing trend of incorporating nature into lifestyle aesthetics. The event additionally highlighted how the latest advancements in the green sector are not just about growing plants but creating meaningful, sustainable connections between people and their environments.
Nature’s Innovation Hub and Key Moments From Iberflora 2024
The latest edition showed a thriving fair displaying the latest trends in the green industry. The entire organization designed a program packed with exciting features for all professional visitors, including 'Universo Floral' (as previously mentioned) offering live demonstrations and talks by international experts, and a dedicated area for floral art. Additionally, this year, the Valencia City Council, through the Department of Parks and Gardens, happily hosted discussions focused on urban forest management, putting attention on both its strengths and challenges.
One of this year's key innovative aspects was also the return of their 'Innovation Project Exhibition', which for the first time included an award specifically focused on the sustainability of the products or services presented. Not forgetting the various sector-specific meetings that were prosperously held or the celebration of 'La Noche Mas Verde', hosting the official welcome and inauguration of the fair on the first opening night of the event.
Nonetheless, if you're familiar with the 'Greenfluencers', the host of the 2024 gala is Ester Casanovas, a gardening devotee, passionate about plants and urban gardens, was the one in charge of presenting the 'Trompa Verde' prizes to all the winners which you can see directly on Iberflora. Like these examples there were many, but most importantly, the key component of this exhibition comes to be the happiness of people around nature and plants while developing deeper connections not only with people but with the spaces that surround them at home.
It was an event that made people want to have green plants in their indoor and outdoor spaces while learning the best ways to enhance their gardens. This exposition is and will remain an impressive physical field to learn about the latest trends, emerging gardening and landscaping perspectives with numerous benefits for the user/clients, and is the greenest hub for the horticulture industry. The importance of keeping plants and greens close, and even closer should be everyone's lifelong goal!
They hope to see you there next year.
