Why Choose Streptocarpus?
Streptocarpus is a true eye-catcher. This plant produces up to ten flower stems per leaf, each adorned with up to five delicate blossoms in warm, bright hues. Its long flowering period makes it ideal as a houseplant or office plant, but it can also thrive outdoors in a sheltered, shaded spot. Perfect for living rooms, conservatories, waiting rooms, or as a special gift.

What makes this plant even more appealing is its resistance to pests and diseases. Plus, it's surprisingly easy to maintain — once you know what it needs.
The Power of Dutch Quality and Innovation
The young plants are cultivated in Ermelo at Koppe Begonia’s state-of-the-art facility. With the expansion of the mother stock in Portugal and technical support from Fleischle Gartenbau Gbr, healthy, vigorous plants are produced, ready to captivate customers.

All young plants are exclusively sold through Gasa Young Plants, ensuring top quality and freshness. Koppe Begonia focuses on the Dutch market, so you, as a florist, can deliver quickly and consistently.
The Secrets to Perfect Streptocarpus Care
Want your Streptocarpus to stay in full bloom? Here’s a simple guide:
- Light: Provide bright, indirect light. A northeast or east-facing window is ideal. Avoid harsh afternoon sun, which can scorch the leaves.
- Water: Keep the soil lightly moist, but never waterlogged. A moisture test at the top of the soil helps. Preferably, water from below by placing the pot in a saucer of water, then remove excess.
- Temperature: Thrive between 15-24°C. Avoid sudden cold or hot drafts.
- Humidity: Regular indoor moisture is sufficient. In case the air is dry, spray occasionally, but never directly on the plant.
- Substrate: Use a lightweight, well-draining mix, similar to African violet soil.
- Repotting: Do this once a year in spring, using a pot that’s just slightly larger.
- Fertilizer: During the growing season (spring to fall), feed with a balanced liquid fertilizer every 2-3 weeks, preferably high in potassium.
- Pruning: Remove faded blooms and damaged leaves promptly to encourage new flowering.

With the proper care and the inspiring lines from Koppe Begonia, passionate florists and plant enthusiasts will enjoy a lasting, colorful experience.
