TAK Foliage - The Green Power Behind Unforgettable Floral Design
On August 5th and 6th, TAK organized a two-day program that brought together recognized floral designers from Guatemala. The goal was clear: to highlight the potential of foliage in product development for premium supermarket segments and to demonstrate how greens can be used as key elements in bouquets, combo boxes, preserved collections, and new creative formats. And this is exactly what happened. Visually, the results were stunning and full of greens.

The event took place at the company's production areas in Salamá, Baja Verapaz. Participants toured the fields, observed the cultivation process, and met with technical experts who explained details about care, post-harvest handling, and shelf life. They also attended a masterclass dedicated entirely to foliage, covering aspects such as product storytelling and its uses in international markets like the United States and Europe.

Expanding Its Reach With Purposeful Goals
One of the Guatemalan company's current priorities is to create added-value products for the premium supermarket segment. By developing exclusive bouquets and innovative foliage-based products, TAK aims to diversify its offering and strengthen its competitiveness in international markets. At the same time, the company is focused on strengthening the identity of its local brand, 'Siempre Verde', and expanding its global reach through Green Bouquet in the United States. Both initiatives share the same goal: to connect with florists and customers by offering greens that combine quality, practicality, and visual impact.

Florists at the Center of the Greens
The event was designed with florists in mind, providing them with resources and space to test ideas. Among the invited participants were professionals known for their strong influence in the floral community, such as Addy Florales, Adolfo Cojulún Hass, and Otto Recinos. One of the main activities was the creative sprint session. Here, florists worked with unlimited access to TAK's range of greens and were asked to develop proposals across four categories: Green Bouquets, Combo Boxes, Preserved and Dyed Products, and Innovation Greens. The objective was to create designs that balanced creativity with commercial potential, particularly for the supermarket sector.

The designers worked live with the foliage, sharing feedback on quality, texture, and usability for different types of events. Their input is essential, as it reflects real experiences from professionals who depend on dependable products for weddings, corporate events, and everyday floral arrangements.
According to their experience and thoughts, foliage has become more than a complement to flowers. Event planners and florists are increasingly relying on greens as structural and aesthetic components that define the overall design. The greens provided meet this demand by offering uniformity, extended vase life, and a broad range of varieties that can adapt to both small-scale designs and large installations.
The event was an ideal opportunity to explore creativity and skills when it came to floral design and its combination with foliage. Greens never, ever disappoint!
