The Journey Begins

For seven years, the folks at Stadsland have been all about those bell-shaped beauties. They kicked things off with seed breeding and soon stumbled upon the eco-friendly green traits of these flowers. Imagine their excitement! While nature had its share of double-flowering Campanulas, no one had brought them to the commercial stage. That’s where Stadsland stepped in, ready to change the game.

Meet the Stars

Stadsland is the proud creator of several jaw-dropping Campanulas. Let’s take a moment to appreciate their stars:

And the best part? There are plenty more in the pipeline, each more dazzling than the last.

One Year-Wonders From Tissue Culture to Seeds

The Evergreen series and Kilimanjaro Campanulas spring from tissue culture, but Stadsland isn’t stopping there. They’re busy bees, working on creating numerous varieties straight from seeds.

Most of their current Campanula beauties are two-year-old plants. However, Stadsland is on a mission to craft one-year-old versions too. Why, you ask? Well, these speedy growers are perfect for tropical areas, as they don’t require a cold period to thrive.

The two-year-old varieties are the heroes of cooler regions. They sprout several stems per plant (think 5-6 stems) without demanding much energy. You can grow them in a cold greenhouse, making them super eco-friendly. And let's not forget the double-flowered Campanulas, which are turning heads with their high ornamental value and fresh market presence.

The Magic of Stadsland

Fiona and her team are not just breeders; they’re magicians turning dreams into floral reality. At Stadsland, they believe in pushing the boundaries of what’s possible with Campanulas. They mix tradition with innovation, creating varieties that are not only beautiful but also sustainable.

Stadsland’s passion for flowers doesn’t stop at Campanulas. They’re also the brains behind some stunning Celosia varieties. This Dutch breeding ground is where floral magic happens, blending art and science to produce some of the most breathtaking blooms.
