Dümmen Orange, one of the world’s leading ornamental plant and flower breeders, has announced the opening of a new location in Bogotá, Colombia. The new site has been developed as a dedicated innovation hub to serve flower growers from the Sabana de Bogotá and surrounding production areas.
All the Flowers You Love by Dümmen Orange Soon in One Location
For the first time in Colombia, Dümmen Orange LATAM's complete cut flower assortment will be brought together in a single, centralized location. The portfolio includes roses, Chrysanthemums, carnations, Dianthus barbatus, limonium, gerberas, and callas. By consolidating its full range in one place, the company offers growers a streamlined, one-stop destination for breeding innovation, advanced genetics, and commercial solutions tailored to their specific production programs.
Strategically located near Colombia’s primary flower-producing region, the facility reinforces Dümmen Orange’s long-term commitment to the country’s floriculture industry. The new location provides easier access to the company’s latest varieties, along with direct support from its commercial and technical teams.
Save the Date for the Grand Opening and Open House
Looking ahead, the Bogotá site is also expected to incorporate the propagation of mother plants for carnations and Chrysanthemums. This addition will further strengthen the availability and reliability of high-quality plant material for local producers, supporting sustainable growth across the floral value chain.
The official inauguration is scheduled for Friday, March 6, followed by an Open House during Week 11, from March 9 to 13. Throughout the week, visitors will have the opportunity to explore the full cut-flower portfolio in one centralized location and experience the latest varieties up close. The event will also provide time for meaningful conversations with Dümmen Orange’s commercial and technical teams, offering insights into breeding developments, production strategies, and solutions tailored to local growing conditions.

The Open House is designed not only as a showcase of genetics and innovation but also as a platform for connection, creating space for insightful talks, shared knowledge, and a closer look at what the future of cut flower production in Colombia can look like.
