In a season known for its elegance and English charm, Ricky Paul Flowers brought something entirely different to Chelsea in Bloom 2025, a floral rebellion. This year, the award-winning London florist didn’t just turn heads; they turned tradition on its side.

Fashion in Flowers

This year’s theme? Flowers in Fashion. And the results were nothing short of showstopping.

With a jaw-dropping Punk Head installation as the centrepiece of their campaign, Ricky Paul Flowers reaffirmed their status as one of the most daring and imaginative forces in contemporary floral design. Their concept? That flowers can be loud, unapologetic, and carry cultural weight. And that a florist can be both an artist and an agitator.

The Punk Head: Defiant, Daring, and Unmissable

Towering above the King’s Road and sparking endless snaps and conversations, The Punk Head was more than just an installation; it was a visual manifesto.

A sculptural mohawk of dyed pampas grass, blush and coral proteas, and feathery astilbe exploded outwards in defiance. Chains, studs, and safety pins laced through the piece, nodding to punk’s raw energy and DIY ethos. The florals weren’t arranged to please; they were arranged to provoke. Designed to confront the softness often associated with floral design, The Punk Head played with contrasts, rebellion and beauty, edge and elegance, tradition and subversion. It was sculpture-meets-subculture, floral art with attitude.

Passers-by were stunned. Social media lit up. And the judges took note,  with multiple Chelsea in Bloom awards recognising the installation’s originality and impact.

Ricky Paul, Founder and Creative Director, Ricky Paul Flowers, says:

“Chelsea in Bloom gives us the freedom to turn imagination into spectacle,  and this year, we wanted to spark a floral rebellion. The Punk Head wasn’t just an installation; it was a statement about self-expression and what floristry can be when you strip away the rules. For us, flowers are a storytelling medium, and when paired with bold brands like Trinny London and Granado, the result is immersive, unforgettable, and unashamedly creative.”

Also at Chelsea in Bloom: Brand Activations That Dared to Delight

While The Punk Head captured the raw spirit of rebellion, Ricky Paul Flowers also brought their signature flair to two high-profile brand installations during Chelsea in Bloom 2025.

For Trinny London, the studio created a whimsical floral homage to fashion ateliers, complete with a giant pair of floral scissors, a wrapped thread of blooms, and a striking bobbin-and-needle feature. It captured the brand’s vibrant, empowered aesthetic in a way that delighted shoppers and passersby alike.

Granado, Brazil’s oldest pharmacy and heritage beauty brand, commissioned Ricky Paul Flowers to create a botanical beachscape in the heart of Chelsea. A yellow polka-dot bikini made entirely of fresh florals and a pampas grass umbrella brought a slice of Rio to London, full of joy, colour, and fantasy.

Theatrical Floristry for a New Era

At its core, this year’s Chelsea in Bloom campaign from Ricky Paul Flowers was about floral storytelling without compromise. Whether through the anarchic beauty of The Punk Head or the high-energy, on-brand installations for Trinny and Granado, each piece was immersive, original, and award-winning.

Ricky Paul Flowers continues to lead a new era of floristry, one where blooms become spectacle, and brands are brought to life with creativity, confidence, and a little rebellion.

In a season defined by creativity, it’s clear that Ricky Paul Flowers didn’t just take part in Chelsea in Bloom 2025; they changed the conversation.
