The exhibition floor was a mosaic of floral innovation and tradition. Cut flowers and ready-bouquets offered the visitor florists elegant creations. In many booths, there were live performances by recognized designers from France and abroad. In short, it was a highly educative event for both seasoned and young florists.

Best Floral Design Concours
Competitions were held to make floral newbies already enthusiasts of becoming the next 'Meilleur Ouvrier de France' while getting to know many different products and creating brand awareness. The most important one of FlorEvent was the Best Floral Design competition because it involves major luxury houses and brands that use floral designers to showcase their products, events, or communications. There were ten window displays to be admired, and in the end, Mylène Jean-Lambert was the winner of this concours.

La Battle des Écoles
In the 'Battle des Écoles' ('Battle of the Schools') teams of excited youngsters were given several tasks they had to perform on stage in front of a live audience, like creating a floral dress.

By organizing all this together, both the high-end demos by renowned designers and the basic skills of the students, FlorEvent was clearly creating a bridge between the generations of florists.
Flowers, Plants, and Decorations
There was an expanded selection of fresh, high-quality flowers sourced directly from committed growers as well as timeless and on-trend dried and preserved varieties catering to ever-more diverse aesthetic preferences.
Potted plant displays reflected the indoor plant trend. A wide variety of houseplants were shown in a homely atmosphere, emphasizing the fusion of nature and interior design. Floral accessories played an important role here as well. Suppliers showcased a range of vases, pots, and decorative items, blending functionality with artistry.

Also, technology and florist services earned their place at FlorEvent. Companies introduced digital tools tailored for florists, including e-commerce platforms and inventory management systems. Discussions centered on eco-friendly sourcing, waste reduction, and sustainable packaging, aligning with the industry's shift towards environmental responsibility.

Fleur de l'Année - The Flower of the Year Competition
The Fleur de l'Année competition is dedicated to highlighting the most beautiful flowers presented to a panel of floral connoisseurs. Over twenty participating flowers were selected by suppliers and growers.
The winner of the Flower of the Year award will become the ambassador of floral beauty, inspiring professionals and designers in their arrangements and bouquets. the booth dedicated to the participating flowers was already attracting a lot of curiosity, even before the winner was announced: Anemone Happy, a stunning and very big creamy-white flower with a bright purple center and black heart.

Networking Opportunities
FlorEvent proved to be the place to be for florist business development in France. The event excelled in fostering connections. Professionals exchanged ideas and discussed the role of French growers vs. international sourcing. The latter was quite a useful discussion, as many French, proud of their country and their products, find it difficult to see the floriculture industry as a global business, in which sustainability has made giant steps over the recent period.
This leaves the organization and the Federation of French Florists with the noble task of explaining how floriculture is already in many fields a sustainable business that can provide a good future for everyone who loves flowers and plants.

Looking Ahead to FlorEvent 2026
As FlorEvent 2025 has concluded, anticipation builds for next year's edition. The event has continued to adapt and innovate, reflecting the evolving landscape of the floral industry. The exhibition was more than a fair; it was a celebration of the art, science, and business of floriculture. It showcased the resilience and creativity of an industry that continues to thrive. For those who attended, of which many florists, it reaffirmed their passion for this field that makes so many people happy in France and around the world.

The next edition of the FlorEvent trade show will take place in Nantes on March 8th and 9th, 2026, and it will be the show's 10th anniversary. So, block your agenda already if you want to be a part of this wonderful event.
