Mandy Floristry – Artful Observer, Intuitive Designer, and Lover of Light, Space, and Stories

As the owner of Mandy Floristry based in the San Francisco Bay Area, Mandy has built a business around creating floral work that reflects the people and spaces it is made for. Her process starts with understanding how clients want their wedding, event, or celebration to feel. From there, she develops floral concepts that reflect those ideas through color, texture, shape, and movement.

Her interest in design extends beyond flowers. Travel, interiors, architecture, and everyday environments all contribute to her creative perspective. Inspiration can come from a boutique hotel discovered while traveling, an interesting combination of materials in a living space, or a quiet morning at home. These experiences shape her perspective on composition and the way floral arrangements are perceived within a room.

Mandy shares with the world:

"I started my floral journey after planning my own wedding, where I fell in love with the creative world behind design and aesthetics. Art has always been a part of me – music, painting, and photography – though I never received traditional training. Those passions naturally led me to florals, where I finally found a medium that feels like home. Florals became the place where everything clicked."

A Floral Style Shaped and Led by Observation

Over the years, Wang's floral work has become recognizable for its organic forms, layered textures, and loose compositions. Her arrangements often reflect influences found outside the floral industry, including architecture, interiors, travel, and the changing patterns found in nature. At Mandy Floristry, each project begins with a different set of ideas, references, and expectations. Some clients arrive with a clear vision, while others come with only a feeling or atmosphere in mind. Wang uses those starting points to develop floral concepts that suit the occasion and the space where they will be experienced.

Different types and styles of floral design

This way of working has become closely associated with Mandy Floristry. Flowers are considered alongside the surroundings, the people gathering there, and the overall environment. The result is floral work that feels considered without appearing overly arranged, allowing the flowers, the setting, and the occasion to exist comfortably together.

The floral designer says:

"What sets my work apart is its versatility and intention. I don’t define my brand by a single style – instead, I focus on translating a story, a space, and a moment into florals that feel thoughtful, artful, and deeply personal. Each project is approached with a design-first mindset rather than a formula, allowing the work to evolve naturally across styles, scales, and aesthetics. I’ve leaned into a more refined, atelier-style approach – where florals are treated as a form of visual storytelling."
