Sometimes an idea grows quietly, like a seed. For a long time, I wanted to create something that connects the beauty of flowers with the beauty of the female body. As a model and artist, I also work with form, movement, and expression. This project became a way to bring those worlds together, combined with fresh flowers.
My Dress of Flowers
The dress is made entirely from real flowers of different textures and shapes. I used roses, orchids, hydrangeas, and other seasonal blooms, all chosen within the same color palette, so they could blend into one living composition. The base of the dress is a corset made from chicken wire — a material many florists use in their work to build structures and support arrangements.

On top of this transparent corset, I attached flowers, allowing the body to remain visible through the floral structure. It creates a feeling of something delicate and natural growing around the human form. The lower part of the dress becomes a large red floral skirt that spreads into the sand, almost like roots entering the earth.
The Symbolism and Meaning Behind This Dress
For me, this dress carries a simple symbolism. Female beauty reminds me of flowers and nature. It is something alive, something that grows from deep roots. Flowers are fragile, but they are also brave — they open, they bloom, they bring color and hope into the world. In the same way, there is strength in the softness of being able to bloom.

Creating the dress took me around 20 hours of work, from preparing the flowers to building the corset and assembling the final composition. Everything was made by my hands.

Projects like this are always a little unpredictable, because flowers have their own life and character. But that is also what makes them special. I hope people who see this work will feel the same thing I felt while creating it — a small reminder that beauty, like flowers, begins with roots and the courage to bloom.
