Cultivating Key Rose Varieties in the New Land

The new 35-hectare farm will focus on cultivating key varieties required by clients, including the Rose Hippy Psychedelic and Rose VIP Choco Wax. Its proximity to Jet Fresh Flower Growers’ existing operations—just across the Río Alaquéz—ensures the company can continue utilizing the same fertile soil and water sources that have contributed to the exceptional quality of its roses over the years. The farm is also conveniently located for the company’s team, ensuring smooth integration into operations. The new farm will be fully integrated under the same name and management as the existing Jet Fresh Flower Growers.

Juanita Coloma, COO of Latin America & Jet Fresh Flower Growers shared:

“This land is truly a gem. It was previously a dairy farm and has never been treated with chemicals or fertilizers. It boasts some of the most fertile soil in the region. We’re excited to start cultivating roses in such pristine conditions, which will allow us to further elevate the quality of our roses while supporting sustainable farming practices."

In addition to its agricultural benefits, the new farm has cultural and historical significance. It features a stunning 130-year-old hacienda, surrounded by lava rocks, that honors Ecuadorian heritage. Part of the land will continue to operate as a dairy farm, reflecting the company's importance and allegiance to preserving local agricultural traditions and culture.

Mike Black joyfully shares:

“This allows our family to continue a legacy that began with my grandfather, who was a rose grower in West Grove, Pennsylvania."
