What Is Not EMC?
European Master Certification (EMC) is not a formal workshop, nor a series of tutorials. It’s not exactly a school, per se, and it certainly isn’t offering any recipes for people to replicate. It’s not a masterclass, either, and yes, one does get an official certification in the end, but that’s not the goal in itself. They work with flowers in EMC, but then on day one, your instructor tells you: "it’s not about the flowers," and this list could go on and on.
EMC Is Unique
EMC is unique. And that makes it almost impossible to place it in a category with any other form of floral education there is out there. So, the question still stands: What is this European Master Certification? The answer is incredibly simple: YOU!
Who Is EMC?
EMC (European Master Certification) is more than just a floral education program—it’s a global movement that fuels the creative spirit of floral designers worldwide.
This is a clip that captures the emotion and creativity involved in a live EMC Fundamentals in European Floral Design Course - particularly the one hosted in Romania, at Târgu Mureș, by our Alumni and partner, Maria Bunea EMC.
This Course is the first step in getting the EMC Certification! It is a fantastic experience overall, and we also offer it online, both in Spanish and English.

The EMC Core Program: A Journey to Creative Mastery
At the core of EMC’s philosophy lies the signature CORE Program. Here, designers are taught to see flowers not just for their beauty, but for their personality, emotion, and potential. Through intentional design methods, students learn to use botanical materials in meaningful, innovative ways.
Each step in the program encourages floral creatives to dive deeper into their artistic potential, guided by a team that is driven, passionate, and deeply rooted in floral design excellence.
EMC Trend Report
The EMC Trend Report 2026 represents a clear departure from trend forecasting as a catalogue of styles or colours. Instead, it explores how creatives are consciously positioning themselves in response to technological acceleration, emotional overload, and shifting human values.
The report is built around four distinct creative stances - Challenge, Embrace, Escape, and Transcend - which capture the different ways designers, florists, and brands are choosing to engage with the world today.
What sets this edition apart is its focus on intention rather than prescription. Rather than telling creatives what to do, it explains why certain visual languages, materials, and emotional atmospheres are emerging. By combining cultural insight with practical design thinking, the EMC Trend Report 2026 offers a framework for making more deliberate, authentic, and future-proof creative decisions across florals, spatial design, and experience-driven work.
Looking ahead, EMC anticipates a decisive shift away from surface-led aesthetics toward intention-driven design. Emotion, material honesty, and human presence increasingly take precedence over perfection and speed. The report highlights a growing emphasis on restrained palettes, tactile materials, visible craftsmanship, and narrative-based compositions, alongside a more selective and thoughtful use of technology.
Rather than defining what will be ‘in’ or ‘out,’ the EMC Trend Report 2026 suggests that the clarity of their choices will measure designers—how consciously they work, why they select certain materials or forms, and how effectively they translate meaning into experience.

What Is the Infinite Creative Effect (ICE)?
At EMC, they talk a lot about ICE—the Infinite Creative Effect. It’s the continual stream of inspiration and ambition that comes when knowledge becomes practice, and practice becomes understanding.
ICE is about becoming a conscious creative—someone who doesn’t chase trends, but who explores the infinite possibilities that exist within flowers, design, and self-expression.
A Global Community of Floral Growth
EMC builds more than knowledge—it builds community. Designers from around the world come together in pursuit of excellence, creativity, and collaboration. It's a place where your floral journey doesn't just continue—it evolves.

The EMC Mission
The EMC mission states YOUR KNOWLEDGE – YOUR SUCCESS – OUR PASSION. EMC puts passion into designing a complex curriculum, an outstanding learning process, and amazing guidance through it, but ultimately, EMC is all about YOU. EMC is your immense effort, you having to step out of your comfort zone, you reaching your infinite potential as a floral designer, your signature style, your growth, your hard work, your creativity pushed forward, your designs lifted, your success story, and your own personal experience enhanced. European Master Certification is a floral educational concept and program that cannot be categorized because neither can you! And you shouldn’t fit in a category, as your individuality, your personality, and your distinctive experience are the attributes that set you apart from the crowd.
EMC Is Unique Because You Are Unique!
Of course, the program goes through theory and practice, through elements and principles, through techniques and mechanics, through art and nomenclature work, through design concepts and color theory. These are all milestones you will pass and knowledge that will take you further in your creative endeavor and business mindset. You will have guidance and mentorship, teachers and fellow colleagues will become your family, and yes, in the end, you will have a certification. The beauty of EMC, though, stands in the fact that YOU will embark on an exciting journey that will last a lifetime, exploring YOUR infinite creative potential and knowing how to express it in YOUR signature style designs.
