As a florist, my creativity is always deeply connected to nature and simplicity. I find that each flower, each element, tells its own story. When I was presented with blue-colored lilies from Bredefleur, I knew I was facing a unique challenge. Dyed flowers have a certain appeal for many, but I prefer working with the natural beauty of flowers. At the same time, I welcomed this as an opportunity to push my boundaries. Alongside the blue lilies, I also had the chance to work with pure white lilies and the warm hues of autumn—one of my favorite pallets—pairing them with earthy rocks.
The Challenge of Blue Lilies
The blue lilies, while striking, were outside my usual comfort zone. I typically gravitate toward nature’s simplicity and colors that feel organic. But I saw this as an opportunity to merge something bold with my style. Instead of letting the intensity of the dyed blue overpower me, I focused on the arrangement and presented it in a warm and neutral place. I wanted to maintain balance while allowing the unique blue hue to shine. Although the white Lily Bowl of Beauty is my preference, these are the results of the designs with the dyed ones.
Even though I wouldn’t typically choose dyed flowers, I found myself respecting the creativity behind them and meeting a trend. Yet, I remained true to my aesthetic, ensuring that the warmth and earthiness of my Maramureș (a Romanian district) roots remained in the design.

Love Rocks - Integrating Nature in My Design With White Lilies
White lilies are intriguing to work with. Their clean lines and serene presence inspire a sense of purity that I love to work with. For one of my arrangements, I decided to pair them with something unexpected: rocks. The contrast between the lilies' softness and the stones' rugged texture was exactly what I needed to create a grounded yet elegant design.
The rocks added a raw, natural element that anchored the lilies without overshadowing their beauty. This design reminded me of the landscapes in Maramureș, where nature feels powerful and peaceful. I always strive to capture the combination of strength and grace in my work.

The Warmth of Autumn in Floral Form
Autumn in Maramureș has always inspired me. The warm, earthy tones of the season—deep oranges, reds, and yellows—create a natural palette that evokes comfort and warmth. I knew I had found a perfect match when I paired the peach with the vibrant fall hues.
The lilies became the quiet focal point amidst the richness of the autumn colors. Their simplicity balanced the intensity of the oranges and reds, creating an arrangement that felt like a cozy embrace of the season. This design, more than any other, connected me to the warmth of my home and the beauty of nature’s cycles.

A Reflection of My Floral Philosophy
Working with blue lilies, white lilies, and autumnal hues allowed me to explore different sides of my creativity. Whether it was the challenge of dyed flowers or the grounding force of rocks, each design allowed me to reflect my love for simplicity, nature, and the warmth of Maramureș. My goal is always to create floral designs that feel authentic, grounded, and deeply connected to the natural world.
