When I received a box of Rosa Loves Me® Radiant Rebecca from Karen Roses, I felt something different right away. Some flowers invite you to blend them into a larger story. But these roses didn’t want to share the stage. They had their own presence, their own voice, and I knew instantly they needed a piece designed just for them.
Opening that box was like stepping into a moment of discovery. This spray rose looked fresh yet full of promise, as if she carried both class and strength in every stem. Before I even touched them, I could sense that these roses had a story to tell — one I would simply help bring to life through design.
First Impressions of Rosa Loves Me® Radiant Rebecca
The first thing that caught me was the color. A soft pink that isn’t flat or predictable, but alive, shifting subtly depending on the light. Each spray was refined, with buds that opened generously, their petals curling outward in a way that felt both chic and timeless. I couldn’t help but think of English rose gardens, but here I had them in my studio, ready to take on a contemporary form.

As a florist and stylist, I’m always looking for flowers that hold their own in design, that carry elegance but also bring character. Rosa Loves Me® Rosa Loves Me® Radiant Rebecca has both.
Designing With Rosa Loves Me® Radiant Rebecca
For this piece, I wanted to honor the rose by giving it freedom. I chose a sculptural arrangement, with the flowers rising in a flowing wave. At the center, a dense cluster showed off the fullness of the rose. Around it, a few slender stems stretched outward, creating rhythm and movement — like the rose itself was breathing.
I deliberately kept the design pure. No other flowers, no foliage, nothing to distract from the beauty of Rosa Loves Me® Radiant Rebecca. Sometimes a single variety is enough to tell the entire story. This was one of those times.
Discovering the Story Behind the Name
It was only after working with Rosa Loves Me® Radiant Rebecca that I learned about its background. This spray rose was bred by Viking Roses and named in honor of Rebecca Kotut of Karen Roses in Kenya, a woman who has devoted her life to roses. Knowing this made me appreciate the variety even more. I felt connected not just to the flower, but to the people and the journey behind it.
Every stem I held carried more than just beauty. It carried a legacy, a recognition, and a bridge between breeder, grower, and designer. That’s rare, and it made this experience even more meaningful.
A Rose for Modern Floristry
From my perspective as a designer, Rosa Loves Me® Radiant Rebecca has everything it needs to succeed in today’s floral world. Its refined look makes it perfect for weddings and exclusive events. Its versatility means it can shine in both romantic and sculptural work. And its strength and reliability give me confidence that it won’t just look good on day one, but throughout its vase life.
It’s a rose that speaks to professionals like me, but also to anyone who simply wants to bring beauty into their space. Rosa Loves Me® Radiant Rebecca reminded me that sometimes, the most powerful designs come from listening to the flower itself. These roses didn’t need companions, colors, or distractions. They only needed space to show who they are.
Working with them felt less like arranging and more like collaborating. Together, we told a story — of elegance, character, heritage, and presence. A story that will continue every time someone, somewhere, opens a box of Rosa Loves Me® Radiant Rebecca. Through myThursd Meetup Spot, more connections and collaborations are forged daily, leading to profound stories just like this one. Thank you to both myThursd, Viking Roses, and Karen Roses for this collaborative opportunity.
