This Asplenium has very distinctive, thick, dark green fronds, which are quite different from any others. The leaves are hardy and shiny giving the plant an extremely robust nature.
Asplenium Parvati is a member of the Aspleniaceae. This family counts about 700 sorts of ferns. The botanic name Asplenium comes from the Greek: 'asplenon = spleen herb). This fern was used in the middle ages as a medicine against spleen diseases.
