Dümmen Orange recently celebrated the official inauguration of its new location in Bogotá, 'The Orange Garden', during a memorable event that brought together customers, partners, and key representatives of the floriculture industry. The inauguration marked an important milestone for Dümmen Orange in Latin America, establishing a dedicated one-stop shop for cut flower genetics and innovation, where growers can explore the company’s portfolio of roses, carnations, dianthus barbatus, limonium, gerberas, callas, and Chrysanthemums in a single location.

A Successful and Flourishing Inauguration for Dümmen Orange Latam

Is there anything more exciting than being in a flower-filled, dreamy space while connecting and networking with colleagues, new clients, and people from the industry? For Dümmen Orange Latam, their recent inauguration on March 6th, along with their Open Days during Week 11, was indeed filled with flower-loving moments.

Roses, carnations, Chrysanthemums, limonium, and gerberas, among other flowers, were the full protagonists of the show. One-toned and bi-colored roses stole the spotlight with their magnificent shapes, textures, and brutal openings, most of which left guests in awe. Gasps and ‘wow’ were words that were heard a lot during the span of these days because, yes, they were WOW.

New Hub for Floriculture Innovation in Colombia

Strengthening floriculture ties between Colombia and the Netherlands took center stage with the official opening of the new farm, a new innovation and connection hub. The opening ceremony welcomed customers, strategic partners, and institutional representatives, including the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Colombia, highlighting the strong relationship between both countries within the global floriculture sector.

Among the distinguished attendees were Reina Buijs, Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Colombia, along with Johan Van’t Hag, COO of Cut Flowers at Dümmen Orange, and Bas Pellenars, Commercial Director of LATAM at Dümmen Orange.

As previously mentioned, the celebration was followed by an Open House held from March 9 to 13, where hundreds of growers visited the new location to discover the latest varieties and explore the future of floriculture through the company's genetics and breeding innovations.

Throughout the week, visitors had the opportunity to experience the company’s full portfolio and engage directly with the commercial and technical teams, reinforcing the long-term commitment to supporting the development of the Colombian floriculture industry.
